Sorta-kinda-not really. It's more of the "hopless addict" bit that i'm ashamed of. XD; Typical conversation between my friends and I -- "Whatchya listening to?" "What d'you think? The Beatles. :D" "What CD?" "Um, er... I got another one." "YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDN'T." "...I lied! ^^;"

Aaaaaand I know a lot of people in the South who love the Beatles. Coincidentally, they're all around my age -- fourteen.

I have never been ashamed of being a fan of any band I have ever or am currently a fan of.  I love what I love and anyone who doesn't like it that I come across gets the ole' one finger salute from me.

...if someone says they're a Beatles fan, they're probably a Beatles fan [meaning, a fan of The Beatles] ... so ... er, shouldn't we just /let/ them be Beatles fans? i guess i feel where wayne is coming from.

it's a lot harder to be open about the fact that you like beatles when you're only 13 and the definition of rock has changed so much and many people your age listen to some punk-pop band or w/e else is on mtv. when you tell an ignorant person tha you like the beatles, led zeppelin, or floyd they thing you're some idiot who likes listening to "oldies" and prejudge you from then on as some loser.

luckily, my friends are tolerant of the music I choose to listen to and even like some of it. not to mention i have you guys when i feel the need to ask a question or just feel like discussiong a topic relative to classic rock and occasionally some modern stuff.

and to answer wayne's question. I AM PROUD TO BE A BEATLES FAN
