Failed Kidnapping attempt?

I want to know more about Number 62 here is the text

    A chamber maid at a Dallas hotel where the band were staying in September 1964 was kidnapped at knifepoint by fans desperate to find out The Beatles' room numbers

Did that really happen? Where can I find more info?
