Bill Harry, please, have your books sold in Russia. In English or Russian. The market is favourable for this literature, the books are certain to be bestsellers. I don`t think they are available here.

This is true. But why are other books beautifully arranged in shops and not a sight of these. I protest!
(I just truely believe the books should be available)

Most independent book shops will only stock what they can sell. Bill's book is aimed at a fairly minority audience. It's nice to browse, I know, but the net will be cheaper. And it's Bills' book, so you know it'll be good! :)

I believe that all my books, with the exception of the new one, are out of print. Generally they don't get major distributuon and most Beatles sites, when listing books, probably haven't even heard of them. I've possibly written more Beatles books than anyone else and at 1,200 pages and half a million words, my 'Beatles Encyclopedia' is one of the most detailed of the Beatles booksd. Here is my bibliography:

Arrows : The Official Story Everest Books (1976) ISBN 0-903925-61-3
Mersey Beat: The Beginnings of The Beatles Omnibus Press (1977) ISBN 0-86001-415-0
The Beatles Who's Who Aurum Press (1982) ISBN 0-906053-38-2
Beatlemania Virgin Books (1984) ISBN 0-86369-041-6

Beatles For Sale Virgin Books (1985) ISBN 0-86369-097-1
The Book of Beatle Lists Javelin Books (1985) ISBN 0-7137-1521-9

Thank you for the bibliography, Bill! And I learned yesterday from some beatle fans here that I could buy The George Harrison Encyclopedia, though other books are not available. Another fan named the exact shop where I could find some of your other books. I will check it certainly. The net is a good solution too. But still I will check the shop.
Thank you!

Have just returned from Peterborough where I was helping to promote the Beatles new releases on the Ideal World shopping channel. They are also offering a free exclusive Beatles poster. I'm also appearing tomorrow night at 10 in the evening.

Hi Bill.
One of my favourite Beatles books is Mersey Beat - The Beginnings of The Beatles.
It's totally fascinating reading about what the band were up to in 62/63, just as they were about to take off nationally in the UK.
And reading about all the other Liverpool acts is great too, plus seeing the adverts for forthcoming concerts and who is playing with who.
It must have been a very exciting time.

I have just been looking through my files and during the past 20 years I have approached numerous publishers regarding a new issue of Mersey Beat with lots of colour covers, Beatles adverts, all the articles by John, Paul, George and Ringo, plus fantastic pics and articles - but no British publisher is interested.

I recently re-launched two new issues of Mersey Beat. You can get the entire 'Beatles Week' issue
free on http://issuu.com/liverpool/docs/mersey_beat

Let me know what you think as I am considering publishing further issues with the Liverpool Echo. It would be interesting to see how many fans on this forum actually respond and see the copy of Mersey Beat

Hi, Mr Harry, I follow you on twitter and also enjoy browsing through merseybeat.com, especially the archives.  As soon as I get a couple of credit card payments ahead, plan to buy the George Harrison book you wrote, and the tee-shirt with his image on it.  Great site!
