I just bought this yesterday! It's well worth seeking out - there really are some "classic, rare and unseen" pictures here! Some excellent out-takes from the "butcher" sessions taken by Robert Whittaker on 25th March 1966.
Order online at www.mojo4music.com

Well they both look so young and raw (and Paul looks hard rather than cute).
-
Yeah, there are loads of pics I haven't seen! Quite a few were taken backstage at the Candlestick Park concert in 1966 - their very last live stage performance!
-
Great pictures.
I have a couple of Mojo magazines featuring the Beatles/John Lennon.

Thanks for the picture!
-
You're welcome! It's not often that you see the Beatles drinking tea and tucking into a bag of fish 'n' chips whilst standing by the banks of the Mersey in 1963 is it! LOL
-
I wonder if any of the Beatles had one of those hats you're going to run out and buy!
-
No, The Beatles didn't ever wear stooopid hats!!!!

John can pull off the hat look though. He looks cool.

Hi PC, I double checked for you and it definitely says it was taken by Astrid in Hamburg 1962.
I hadn't seen that one before either.

I think that John and Paul hitched to Paris when John received money as a gift from his uncle for his 20th or 21st birthday. I could be wrong though.
-
no john stayed behind...if i am correct i think its in alan williams book

:o his hot!, I wonder if thats his wife is the back?
-
Their instruments were so "minimul" Ringos drum set looks like a toy version and the vox amps they used were soooooooooo small! I really wonder what they could have done with all the lights, video screens, and audio equipment of today when the 4 lads were together.
-
Thats what I admire about the Beatles, and that particular time period.
The Basics, and indeed that minimal streak which is in all the Live performances.
You paid to see the act, not the 8 weeks of Production back-drops..
The Amps at the side, the cables over the floor, the mic stands sluggishly placed...
Thats what so many 'Retro' bands are trying to re-create these days..

The Beatles were so great in those days. They had no competition of any kind.

Hahahaha.... Ringo is beautiful, but that HAIR makes me laugh every time.
