Paul McCartney's son James says comment about 'new Beatles' was overblown

James McCartney, son of Paul McCartney, is trying to tone down a bit of the excitement in the wake of an interview this week with the BBC. In a Q&A with BBC entertainment reporter Ian Youngs, the younger McCartney was asked if he was interested in forming "The Beatles - The Next Generation" with Sean Lennon, Dhani Harrison and Zak Starkey, son of Ringo Starr. "I don't think it's something that Zak wants to do. Maybe Jason [another of Starr's sons and also drummer] would want to do it. I'd be up for it. Sean seemed to be into it, Dhani seemed to be into it. I'd be happy to do it," he answered. The comments were picked up furiously by gossip sites. But McCartney tried to tone down the reaction to the interview in a response on Twitter Tuesday.
