Plaque honoring Beatles' 'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds' to go up in Liverpool

The song "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" will be immortalized in a plaque to go up later this year in Liverpool.
Lauren Voiers, who made the "Peace and Harmony" sculpture that was the centerpiece of the John Lennon 70th birthday celebration in the city last October, has been commissioned to make the new plaque. A childhood friend of Julian Lennon, John Lennon's son, Vodden inspired the original song that was first heard on the "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album.

She died after a long battle with lupus in 2009.

"Yes I am doing a plaque in honor of Lucy O’Donnell," Voiers told us."I have some designs that I'm sending them this week and not sure exactly when it's going to go up, but I've been told it may be planned around the anniversary of my ‘Peace and Harmony’ sculpture’s unveiling in Liverpool."

The St. Thomas Lupus Trust says the plaque will be installed in Mathew Street. The unveiling will take place along with the launch of the Lucy Vodden Lupus Research Fellowship by the Trust. Any funds donated over the cost of the plaque will go towards that project.

I'd rather see a sculpture of Lauren instead of Lucy.

How many Beatles tributes/honours do they have in Liverpool I wonder?
