i heard that many tab websites were closing down due to copyright...just found this article about it...
i personally dont use online tabs cause they are not accurate... i'd rather get the official music book instead of using these website tabs, but i know that many people do use them...i wonder if they will be closing them all up..?

That's just stupid... Maybe it's because most tabs include lyrics? I can't think of anything else. But lyric sites aren't illegal, are they?

But anyway... Most tabs on the internet are worthless. A lot of them don't even come close to how the song should be played.

OK, there's one thing I don't understand here...

How is it possible that people can decide that something is illegal with ALL music? I'm sure that there are artists that really don't mind that people download their music, lyrics or guitar tabs. There are still people that just want to have their music heard and don't care that much about money. How can other people decide for them what everyone can or can't do with their music?

I guess because Music Publishing businesses make their money from having the copywrite, and the internet must be making huge inroads into their income.

Yeah this is a dissapointment, Right after I start playing bass. :(

Guess I should invest in the Beatles Complete Chords book. :)

Unfortionately, many chord/tab books are crap too.

I once had a Rage Against The Machine tab book, and in the Killing In The Name tab where you can CLEARLY hear Zack shout "Motherf*ker!", they transcribed it as "What the f*ck, ugh!". If they can't even get THAT right...

Well luckily I found a pretty-much complete Beatles guitar tab website a few days ago, they are all in .txt format so I might just have to save them all to disc and hide it away somewhere... lalala.

(if anybody wants it then PM me)

:)

I buy the Guitar magazines for tabs. These are the most useful. ;)
