They all have the same status in my heart.
-
I can't really decide, I think George is sooooo cutee, but I also like Paul, sooooooo.... ok Georgeeeeeeee :P :P
-
My favorite is John Lennon...
By the way I'm new on this forum, good to meet all you beatlemaniacs :D
cheers
-
george, simply because hes so overshadowed by macca and lennon
-
Mine is Paul, though I think that the Beatles could never exist without John and George. And I don't include Ringo cause of his little voice performings.
-
the beatles wouldnt be the same without ringo, hes got the best rock and roll name ever! hes also such a character, so unique
-
JOHN.
:P
-
Ringo Ringo Ringo!
-
Georgie
-
John is a heck of a guy! he surely is the best of the four, after hes the one who started the beatles with all their first hits!
Then maybe George would be second for his strong influence in the beatles's music, for example in Revolver!
Then Paul, who has a great voice and good ideas, he had the idea of Magical Mystery Tour.
Then Ringo, well...he is Ringo...he wasnt execptional though he fitted well with the beatles...
-
i like paul
-
my favorite beatle is John Lennon but my favorite artist in the world is..........

at this moment is George
-
Paul, with George as a very close second.
-
PAUL-for his hotness
JOHN-for his coolness
This was an exceptionally good answer, maccalvr. And true, too.
-
John is sefinatly mine.... but it was a hard choice between him and paul.... I like them all really...
-
the leader...john ofcourse,lol.
-
I answered this before, but I want to add George! For his humor. He's funny in the anthology videos! He should have talked more in his Beatle days. So now I have three favorite Beatles. Sorry Ringo. Paul is stilll most favorite to look at though. Put them all together and they would make the perfect guy.
-
Paul: Best music
John: Best spokesman
George: Best outlook
Ringo: Doesn't he seem like someone who would be a cool friend to have. Just seems so friendly.
PS. I'll probably get heat for saying Paul's got the best music, but I think their later years are the best, and his contributions dwarf John's toward the end.
-
John is the correct answer.
-
John smoked too much Paul is my favorite then george
-
John smoked too much Paul is my favorite then george
Paul smoked as much as John.
George smoked more than either of them.
Pretty odd criteria for liking a celebrity.
-
Yeah, wouldn't he not like The Beatles in general then? Hmm....
I, instead, like them in order of their awesomness. Which is obvious John > George > Ringo > Paul.
-
John Lennon is my favorite. I am a big fan of his solo work as well as the Beatles'.
-

Realy? I thought paul didnt smoke as much as any of the beatles and i still like george
-
pete of course
-
John
-
It's a Four Way Tie!
FabFour
-
I like Paul with John coming in at a close second. Musically they tie, but looks wise it has to be Paul.
-
My picture says it all.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, how cool is this to say presenting Ringo Starr!"

I see it very different then you LOL In their line of aweomness is for me
PAUL>>George>> John>>>Ringo I cant believ you put Paul in last place. Hes my favorite.
-
How about:
Paul>John>Paul>George>Paul>Ringo>Paul ;D
-
My favorite is Paul by far. He has all of the best songs and gives me the best feeling out of the rest. Then George, John, and Ringo. I just love all of his career, thought, George's solo stuff is a VERY close second.
I think it's dumb to choose favorites.
- Ringo Starr
You would say that.
- The other Beatles
-
Ringo all the way! (it's the nose! lol! i love it)
-
John Winston Ono Lennon
-
George, for sure!
-
Paul McCartney definitely
-
I LOVE GEORGE HARRISON!! he made me wanna learn guitar...he is a great influence (as is john) on guitar players everywhere....
-
For me, it's George, then probably a tie between John and Paul, then Ringo, but they're all really cool...
When I was little I thought Paul was really cute and he was my favorite, but now I think George is the cutie and most of his songs are great! ;D
-
JOHN
-
Paul Mccartney.
For me I can Relate to Paul the most out of all four.
He has a great voice, a great musical ear..and is the greatest pop-writer of the 20th century.
I picked up the bass guitar becasue of McCartney, and me first bass was a mock-Violin :)
John is a close Second.
-
voted !
-
My favorite is Paul because I like his music... but I must admit that at first he was only my favorite because he was soooo cute. Tsk tsk how shallow of me, I sound just like a teenyboper.
-
Paul mccartney yuo cant beat his skill in writing music, not even jonh lennon, even tho he is very good.
-

JOHN LENNON!!!!!!!!!! ;D
-
johnnnnn!
-
John always gets the most votes doesn't he?
-
ya but paul is better
-
George, by far. I really admired his modesty, and I love his solo career music most of all (with a few exceptions). I usually like the under-dog though....so maybe its me :) His personality just catches me. He was the one who spoke the least, yet intrigued me the most.
I respect what John was trying to do politically, but I'm not a huge fan of his. I still dont understand why he always wins these polls by a landslide. A lot of people seem to like him just because its "cool" to prefer John over the others or because of what other people say: "Well Paul was greedy and broke the Beatles up!; who cares about George and Ringo?; yeah John, he's the man.....he liked peace....ummm yeah...I love John!!!" Dont get me wrong though, he was a great guy.
Paul...well...besides some of the shady stuff he's done, he's ok. I like the fact that he was a simple guy and didnt have a radical personality. He could've been more consistent with putting out good music, he definitely had it in him, but whatever. Had some amazing albums though.
Ringo - I love the fact that he'd hardly ever be involved in the bickering and fighting amongst the other three Beatles. In a way, I think he helped keep them together. Come on, you gotta love the "best worst drummer ever" ;)
-
John always gets the most votes doesn't he?
I guess cause his this forums favorite :P ;D
-
I voted for Paul.
I became a fan at around 13 and Paul was so cute to me that he was always my favorite!
I love them all of course!
-
I voted for Paul. Of course his MUSIC is most important to me but, mmmm, that face!
-
paul i think
hes in my picture, the cartoon version
-
George, by far.

You cant just stamp a generalised theory on such a complex subject matter.
Life isnt that simple.
-
yup thas true

-
I hate answering this question lol...but here'd be my order from fav to least fav if I was forced to decide
John
George/Ringo (tied for second place)
Paul
-
i like the way hobtitty thinks.......
-
Hmm thanks *is surprised* :) I agree with what haiku was sayin about George, I also admire John a lot because he's finally someone I can relate to my parents with, it just means that much more to me lol. I love George's personality, and Ringo, I was laughing me eyes out reading some of the stuff he says in the Anthology book. ;D
-
What about Mccartney? :)
-
I think they are all great, my favorite is Harrison
-
JOHN
JOHN
same here John ;D
-
Mccartney! :)
-
Paulio.
-
Paul here also
-
I have a lot of respect for them all, but.... JOHN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) ;) ;D :K) 8) Yes definetly John, I've always been a Johnbird..... I really do love them all though ;D ::) :D
-
George for me. I feel his solo career turned out the best, he went from writing some very good songs with the Beatles, and blossomed from there and wrote some great songs on his own. I think John is a close second as far as where he went after the Beatles. Just my opinion though.
-
Ringo ROCKS! :D
-
John is my favorite...I like George and Paul equal and Ringo is my least favorite
-
Aww, poor Ringo, he's awesome, (ahem, George and Paul gave John so much sh*t sbout Yoko, Ringo didn't!!!) Probably one of te most famous song by the Beatles (maybe not the BEST) was Yellow Sumbarine... sang by ahem, RINGO. I think Richard needs a little more appreciation! I know why they don't like him, it's because he's little ;) and probably the least cute :( But that's okay! He's still hot!!!!!! :)
---Just thought I'd put something in here nice for Ringo because I think he's totaly UNDERRATED!---
Ringo : Hey, would you believe me if I told you I was being followed by a yellow submarine?
Police Officer: No, no, I would not.
Ringo : Oh, yeah, didn't think you would. I could've sworn I saw a yellow submarine. But that's not logic now. Is it? It must've been one of them Unidentified Flying Cupcakes. Or a figment of me imagination. But I don't have an imagination...
"Well if he' your grandfather, then who knows? hahaha"
-
I think Ringo is the best looking one.... (heart2)
-
When I first became a Beatles fan, Ringo was my favorite.
-
Yeah Ringo was my fave at first too, cause he was on Shining Time Station, and sang Yellow Submarine, and I liked his name. LOL.
-
I like all the Fab Four, but Ringo is the cutiest!!!!!
-
I enjoy all of them as they all have their good and bads about them. But to me, if I HAD to chose, it would be George.
-
yay! George is ahead of Paul ;D
-
I dont understand it! :(
-
Me neither.
-
I like all of them, why can't they all just be even. But for me, George is great. So is Paul, I have nothing against him at all, I love him, he is so cute in everything he does. But George is just a sweetie.
-
George is nice too, he was a genuinely great guy.
-
Indeed. Hence the vote for him. :P
-
Yeah, I always admire George for how natural he was with the whole Beatle thing.
He always seemed down to earth, and obviously spiritual :)
But, for me, Mccartney is me fav.
-
We all have our differences. :P
-
yep :)
-
WHAT A COMMENT! :P
-
Johns my favorite, i think this is my 3rd time saying it in this post lol
-
I like George too... ;D
-
My screenname says it all. ;)
:K)
-
lennon
-
what was one of the quotes from brian .......
the only important one out of the beatles was John Lennon !
-
Yeah, but Brian had a crush on John, didn't he?
-
apparantly he did YEAH ..lol
even still he wasnt wrong eh mairi hehe J/K :)
-
:-D I also heard he was...
-
John Lennon
-
before i even liked the beatles i saw a picture of them in a book me and my best friend got out of the library....it had a bob dylan pic next to them which was why we got it out lol. then in this beatles pic, we thought they all looked the same! the only dif one was ringo we thought, and we had a joke that he was "laurens beatle" (my bestie) we had to go to our art teacher and ger her to tell us the names of them! i learnt them and i felt so proud lol. we forgot about that soon after and then a few weeks later we had another book, for bob reasons aslo and the beatles were in it too, so i showed lauren and i named them all for her. at this time i had begun to think paul was jsut pretty damn cute:) it was after this that we decided we should find some of there music. i said that it was lucky ringo was her beatle, so i could have paul lol. then she decided she liked paul also and we liked paul for a while.....but after that we started liking other music, fell out of the beatles for a while.....and then i felt bad for forgetting the first decent music i ever liked (bob and beatles) so i began listening to it again.....and there was just something abotu all the songs that george sang. i sort of started picking the ones he was in, then i was noticing him in all my pictures where ide only ever looked at paul before.......i prefer georges voice and his solo work over the others. and hes jsut so damn cute:) and hes got a gorgeous son to boot......sorry paul you gotta be second best with me;)
-
My daughter l(six yrs. old) likes Ringo best. "Because Ringo was the first Beatle I ever knew."
-
crazy !!
george ahead of paul
-
Of course, they're all ahead of Paul hehehe 8-) especially George and John, duhh
-
Ringo's my favorite, but "Let It Be" George is the sexiest!
-
Paul
-
Hmm, i would have to say i also started out with Ringo, because i thought he was the rowdy, jokey one. I also love to watch him play, i have a thing for drummers.
But as my knowledge expanded, i have to say my fave is now John. He is so diverse, from Twist and Shout and Revolution, to Norweigian Wood and Imagine. And listening to the words of his lyrics, it sends a shiver down my spine every time.
-
My daughters were raised on The Beatles. My youngest, who is now 19 always liked George. My oldest who is 22, liked Ringo because Yellow Submarine was her favorite Beatle song. I hope they are able to attend Abbey Rd on the River with me this spring.
For Christmas one year I received Anthology and a couple of Beatle prints from them. Cool kids. They know they'll inherit it all when I'm gone.
-
. They know they'll inherit it all when I'm gone.
well my uncle has every original Beatle record on vinyl that was ever made ... for years i have tried to get my hands on them .. but as you can imagine .. he wont let them go to easy hehe .. ONE DAY ! :)
-
Come to think of it i have some Beatle vinyl in spanish.. well the covers are in spanish.. not sure if the music is in spanish as ive never played them. if i remember rightly i have AHDN.. Help .. Beatles for sale.. and i think its the golden oldies album i have as well ..
-
i dont think the music would be spanish....when the beatles played in tokyo they played in english. they cant even read music as if they could sing in spanish. lol.
-
Lenny, you think you've got it bad... No one in my family is a Beatles nut like me, and yet they still won't let me have the old records that are sitting down in the basement, gathering dust next to an old turntable that hasn't worked in 15 years!
-
hmm, glad my dad is and sis :-), except mom....
-
theres only me in my family......feel kind of special:)
-

Listen to Piggies and Helter Skelter. They tell you what to do.
if I had a dollar for every girlfriend who's last words to me have been "and stop talking about the f****ing Beatles"........
(I only go out with nice girls)
-
I see myself in john(Were both singers and backup guitarists, plus i'm a wakoo like him), but i like Georege and have much respect for him.
It's Really Close though
-
It's got to be John Lennon ----> Legend! 8)
-
i do admire john and he is my favorite.
i also love george and ringo.
as much as i respect paul and i mean he was a great songwriter, his big ego is not to my liking. the poor man tried to change the song writing credits from lennon/mccartney to mccartney/lennon; i mean is it that big of a deal.
-
Haven't I already said this? JOHN
-
pete you hosers.........
-
Paul, then John a very close second
-
Yay! More Paul fans=more Paul votes. ;D
-
i'm surpised that paul isn't second. harrison is a lot more popular than i thought.
-
^of course he is!!!
-
if I had a dollar for every girlfriend who's last words to me have been "and stop talking about the f****ing Beatles"........
(I only go out with nice girls)
hahaha lmfao @ kev hehe .. ive never had the misfortune of any GF's saying that to me ,, YET ! lol ...
mairi maybe there keeping them in the basment as some sort of investment .. i know my Uncle is probably doing the same thing lol ..
-
Yeah right, they're just pack rats.
-
Dunno who my fave is......Just had to get rid of that N-Sync thread bein on home-page! hehehe!
-
john... best song writer in rock history
-
john... best song writer in rock history
i think paul is a better songwriter then john to be honest
-
GO PAUL GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
We just need two more votes for PAUL!
-
I still can't believe he's THAT far behind John. Suspicious.
-
I think the Lennonheads flooded the poll.
-
go paul!
-
I still can't believe he's THAT far behind John. Suspicious.
I agree. He's even behind George, and I know the odds of that are slim to nil.
-
I dunno...I know a lot of Beatle fans who like Paul as a musician but cannot stand some of the things he has said and done.
-
Paulie
-
I demand a recount!
-
pauls my least favorite beatle. there i said it.
-
Maccaphiles are used to dealing with this kind of thing. *sigh*
-
I don't really like choosing favorites. I feel quilty if I do. Truthfully, I love them all in the same in their own, unique ways. They have all inspired me in different ways. :) But one must know, John is my lover. :)
Tiff Lennon
-
Maccaphiles are used to dealing with this kind of thing. *sigh*
Yea, there seems to be a lot of pro-Lennon and sometimes even anti-Macca bias on a lot of boards. I don't quite see why.
-

well you have to understand, i never specified that i hate paul and was against him. i think he was a great musician and songwriter, but his ego and all the crap he's been doing lately makes him my least favorite. not to say that john, george, and ringo didn't have their own problems either.
-

I meant that as a general statement, not necessarily at you. I've tried my hardest to find example of his large ego, but haven't come up with much -- he seems to be the same guy that was dancing and rockin' back in the 60s. I believe that he may have had one on the Rooftop Concert, as he never really blended well in some cases. For example, in One After 909, he didn't blend with John at all -- he acted like he the the lead vocalist, and not a joint lead one, so perhaps I can see the ego argument there.
But I don't see it much in other cases.
-

Tiff Lennon
that makes us two :)
-
Yay! I'm not the only one.
Oh how I love thee, my Beatles. LOL
Tiff Lennon
-
John > George > Ringo > Paul
-
The Lovely Paul
-
If I could sit down and talk to any of the Beatles on anything I think it would definately be George. I'm a quiet, shy person and maybe we would get along together. I love his music and his spirituality and just that he was so damn hot ... :K)
-
He did repeatedly talk down to George when they were together.
-
So did John... and they both admitted to regretting it later.
-
Why does Paul have only 24 votes?!? :o Come on out, Paul fans!
-
Paul wouldn't be fun to hang out with cause he's so damn mean, but so am I so we would get along
-
Stu
-
Harrison's beating McCartney? Odd.
-
Stu
he really is? thats strange, well thats yer opinion
-
Harrison's beating McCartney? Odd.
Not really. Clearly, some intelligent fans have popped in to vote! ;)
-
::) ::) ::) oh puh-lease!
-
Paul wrote the best love songs
John the best songs about Life
-
One could make the argument that life and love are the same things..
-
That's why I love Paul, with John as my second favorite.
-
One could make the argument that life and love are the same things..
Yeah, I just thought about that, My uncle who died of a heart attack last year made that point
-
Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. :(
-
::) ::) ::) oh puh-lease!
I second that. Something's quite fishy.
-
Harrison's beating McCartney? Odd.
i agree :o i always thought paul was the nations favourite beatle!
at the moment its george...2 bad ive already voted for john :-/
-
I don't know if I could pick a favorite. I love them all.
I've always loved John and George, but of course I love Ringo and Paul, too.
But I voted for John.
My list for probably look like this, lol. ;)
1.John/George/Ringo/Paul
-
John! all the way
-
There's a reason why John and George are in the lead. Paul has lived too long for his own good. People go with the flow basically. I love them all. I used to favor Paul, but I think I see things differently now. It's the band I love.
But Paul is still best looking...uh, was best looking.

-
o yea.. my favourite beatle is PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
-
Easy question for me to answer....Ringo Starr!!!
How could anybody not love the guy? He's just so cool, down to earth, and has a great sense of humor.
Being a drummer as well doesn't hurt either. :)
For me it's
Ringo
Paul
George
John
-
This was a really hard decision for me because I love both George and Paul equally so really they are both of my favorites. But if I had to pick only one, my favorite Beatle is George. :)
-
George. He's fantastic. :)
Poor Ringo indeed, drummers don't really get a lot of credit. Ringo has a really good voice, though.
-
paul is behind george?
strange
paul is the coolest Beatle
-
I don't know if I could pick a favorite. I love them all.
I've always loved John and George, but of course I love Ringo and Paul, too.
But I voted for John.
My list for probably look like this, lol.
-
My favourite is Paul. I think he's most talented.
-
Paul just has the look in his eyes ya know..
-
my favourite has always been john. with ringo a close second.
-
another John Fan :)
Cough Cough..Paul*
-
Musically:
1. Paul

Oh dear, I will never be able to see what the results of this poll are, because I can't answer it. I don't have a favourite Beatle. Musically I can't seperate Paul from John. Apart Paul is a bit too sweet and John is a bit too dull. Together they are magic. And I can't prefer John/Paul to George, because 'Something' is one of my alltime favourites. Personally I couldn't put John, Paul or George in front of Ringo, because he is so relaxed and funny. The Beatles are a four-headed 'creature' to me in a way. Which head do I like the most? I really can't say.
-
^ your sig is cute ^_^
alright more beatle fans!
-
1) John
2) Paul
3) George
4) Ringo
-
George is my fave. For the fact that he started only as a singer for John and Paul's songs, but, then, became a songwriter and eventually a great songwriter in his own right. For the fact that he was as much an innovator as John; first to use guitar feedback, first to discover world music, first to bring spirituality into pop music, and first to inspire a charity concert; the precursor to Live Aid, and the Nelson Mandela freedom concerts, etc.
I think John was definitely the first Beatle, but George is my favourite. It is different. I especially admire and respect George for the charity concert thing he started.
-
My favorite is George. Then John, Paul and Ringo. But I love them all. They all had different styles.
-
They all add something... I'm picking all four!!!!

urrrgg we need more Paul fans

Can't let this one go.
George discovered feedback - seems to be a general consensus that this was discovered by accident by John/Paul.
Discovered world music - a bold claim. Traffic and The kinks were fooling around with Indian music at the same time as George. Indian music is on the 2nd side of US Help! LP. I'm sure I could find more. 1st to record a sitar -yes., but not the same thing.
First to bring spirituality into pop - Only if you discount Elvis and all the other acts that released gospel albums. Hundreds of them.
Charity concert - I'll give you that. ;)
-
^Agree (You're right) 8)
Don't take it bad, GreenApple :P , George was a very good person and that's the best thing from him. ;)

urrrgg we need more Paul fans
Agreed.
-
Paul Mccartney...is one true legend. (pre-1971) haha 8)
-
As a fan of the guys (imposible to choose :-/ )I consider myself a Paul fan too, so... here I am! "you can count me in" ;D
-
Who do we love the morst?
Who's death left us in remorse?
Who's legend will never dampen?
Who toured Japan with Clapton?
Who had the best solo career?
Who was caught in the middle of two clashing egos and stuck in the rear?
Who's fiery guitars sent us into massive shock?
Who basically created Progressive Rock?
Who forshadows even the Wonders of Waters in the Wall?
Who a'int just no horse?
Do you really need to ask?
Its George ofcourse!
-
That's a cute little poem. :)
-
Okay Mairi now you have to write one for Paul!!
-
I would but I don't have the same passion for Paul. John maybe, but not Paul.
-
I can't imagine why not. I really can't.
-
I can't imagine why not. I really can't.
I dunno, he doesn't touch me the same way inside.

My favorite is, of course, still Paul =)

I really do love them all but since I can only choose one it's RINGO!! :)
-
Another hopeless (helpless) John fan! And it's funny how that came to be. He was the first one I could pick out from a Hard Days Night! LOL! I was seven so there you go :) But it's always been John for me.
-
there were other beatles besides john?????
-
oh yeah mick and keith.....
-
Yoko
-
I like George. :K)
-
oh yeah mick and keith.....
I thought it was Plant and Page....

For me it would definately have to be Paul. I've noticed too that this forum hails John as a god and Paul as a sap. I mean yeah John was awsome and had some great songs, but Paul had more songs that are famous and better. People say that John was the rocker and Paul was the poppy type...yet when I look back on the 60s and 70s what exactly made John the rocker? Paul had sooooooooooo many more rock songs than John. I could name so many...and I will. Soily, I've got a feeling, Get back, Too many people, Venus and Mars/Rockshow, Let me roll it, Why don't we do it in the road, Band on the run, Jet, Junior's Farm, Ninteen hundred Eighty five and of course...Helter Skelter!!! John didn't nearly have that many rock songs in his arsenal. So why was it that John is the rocker and Paul is the poppy type? And whats the deal with Paul being the softie because a lot of his songs were love songs for Linda? A lot of John's songs were about Yoko..if not most of them. I also hate when people say John was the most diverse, I'd have to say that goes to Paul aswell. Paul wrote so many different type of songs, from the father of Rock Helter Skelter to a poppy love song like Silly Love songs. He used so many different tone voices in his songs, an untrained ear would think the singer of Monkberry Moon delight was a different person from the person who sings Get Back. So how is John more Diverse than Paul? The worst is when people say "Paul had such a big ego! I don't like him because of that" oh come on now...John had just as big as an ego as Paul. If he didn't do you think he would have put out Two Virgins?(not bashing it. I just think it was too bold for someone with a small ego like people think John had) Even George had a huge ego...why do you think he wrote "I me mine"? John had an even bigger ego than Paul I think, why do you think it was easier for John to adjust to life after the beatles than Paul? Because John thought he was the sh1t and Paul at the time didn't think too highly of himself. Paul in my opinion did way better without The Beatles than John did. Paul had more hits and proved he could make it alone. I think people think that it was only ego that was driving Paul to order the others around in the late 60s but I think it was also an act of desperation to keep the band together for everyones sake. I know I'm probably gonna get a lot of heat from this bold post, but tell me...How exactly was John better than Paul? Thats what I'd like to know.
-
I've noticed too that this forum hails John as a god and Paul as a sap.
No way! I don't see how you can reach this conclusion. Even a cursory glance shows the the John/Paul split is at least even, with a few not even bothering to make the distinction.
In fact we go a long way to deconstruct the John myth here. Anyone who comes along here and starts talking of John as some peace loving saint-come-prophet gets a very short shift. Noone here who's been around awhile uses the streotypes (rocker/crooner)you mention.
There are people here who will defend Paul to the death. If Paul does come up for greater criticism (sp) it's because he's got old, produced a vastly bigger body of work over a much longer period than John and has ventured into genres beyond the normal rock'n'roll.
-
I like Paul much, much better than John, in fact John is my least favourite Beatle

John, George a close second. Though I enjoy them all thoroughly in some form or another, undoubtedly four separately unique individuals.
-
Difficult call. When they were a group, its a toss up between John and Paul. Probably John because he was so creative during this period, and without Paul, he didn't have that 'drive' or whatever it's called. Paul also made tremendous music with the Beatles, and has done so since. I can't discount George or Ringo by any means. The sum of the parts. I can't imagine that John would have made such great music with another lineup and the same goes for Paul for that matter.
-
I love them all,
but if I have to pick one, it would be Paul McCartney,
because he was a good musician,
he wrote fantastic songs, plus, he is very good at singing.
His live performances are fresh, raw, yet his voice is always maintain that perfect pitch. Not to mention helter Skelter.
John was a creative song writer, but I think as a musician Paul is more talented,
(I think even George Martin admitted that Paul was a gifted musician.)
Then again, The Beatles are nothing without George&Ringo..
but, I favor Paul the most.
-
i'm surprised that paul isn't on the top... everywhere else where i came across this standard-poll paul an john are fighting for the top-position.
well... i can not decide between john and george.
-
then you must pick both.......i prefer john then george...i started out a paul is best fan because let it be was great but the more i listened the more i liked john...
-
i've no problem with picking both. then paul can be second and ringo can be third (he's always 4th... poor boy) no i salve consciences (if this is the right term... i'm not sure)
-
i do love me some ringo too...he has a country story telling flavor to his music...and never had hidden agendas...he is honest and warm as the miles are long....i also listen to some pete best....
-
What a silly poll! All four is the correct answer. ::)
-
Ringo for his personality.
George for his music.
John for his mind.
Paul (strictly physical).
-
For all-round everything, George. He was the Dark Horse who came to be an equal songwriting talent to John and Paul, he created the idea of world music, he prefigured or invented charity concerts, and was a genuinely spiritual and compassionate man who spoke his heart in his songs. An impressive achievement for a guy who started out as a background band member who sang songs written by John and Paul. Think I've said it before, but it's good to say it again.
-
all of them ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Old Mccartney.
During the 60's ... he was sh*t sh*t hot.
-
Purely for musical reasons I voted for Paul. I just think that while they were all alive Paul's output was generally and consistently of a higher quality.
-
Personality wise though, Ringo wins it hands down!
-
i dont know, cuz sometimes i like more george, but they are fab4,
and they 4 make the beatles!!! ;) ;D
and why is john always on the top?
i know some people that remember when john died and kinda know
who is he, but when i tell them about george they dont even remember him!!!!!!
was it because they kill lennon?
but for me all of them are special to me!!! ;D :D :)
-
Hmm. I'm not sure who my favorite Beatle is.
-
Ian Curtis
-
Ian Curtis? ::)
-
This poll is supposed to be "who's your fav?" I take that to mean who'd you most likely want to chum with or have as a friend.
Based on this criteria only, I'd pick Ringo. He's the least intimidating to me. I think his ego's down-to-earth and he'd be easy to share a laugh with. That's the kind of person I'd like to mix with.
Heck, I know people without fame with oridinary everyday lives who think they are some big fantastic deal in the world. But that's their inner legend and let them have it, I say.
Arguing the merits of each Beatle individually in terms of talent and songwriting prowess is not the criteria I'd choose for selecting a favorite. If so, I'd have to say that all the overacheivers, workaholics and geniuses of the world were my favs, right?
-
Yes. I met one of those last night!!
-
geebuz johns i see theres lots of johny fans ;D george and paul are abou the same poor ringo ;D he needs love
-
Go John Go!
John Got My Vote... Suprise Suprise! :)
-
I got into the Beatles late-- I missed them as a teenager, and only discovered how interesting they were when the Anthology series was aired in 1995. I went mad for all things Beatle-- got a load of books out of the library, started listening to their music (the only albums I knew were Abbey Road and Living In the Material World because my sisters owned them). Recently I had a resurge of interest, and caught up on all the fascinating new books and remastered albums that have been published more recently. Simply amazing.
Anyway, the more I read, and the more music I listened to, the more I was drawn to George Harrison. Perhaps this is because I'm a guitar player myself. Anyway, I found myself just really liking what he brought to the mix. And that chemistry--the magic of the four of them--has made an undeniable influence on our culture. Good grief, how many other bands are topping the charts 36 years after they disbanded? :D
I don't think the Beatles would have been the Beatles without Paul's musicality, John's pain, George's dedication to good musicianship, and Ringo's support of the whole (sorry, Pete fans, but I find Pete's drumming a little overpowering for the "front line"). And it's not just the music; it's the personalities-- their boldness, their irreverence, their humor, their quest for truth that helped to establish and sustain their appeal. I really think they were and will remain absolutely unique. I'm so happy to have discovered them, even so late in the game. Cheers, all.
-
Welcome Harihead. And I'm very happy for you!!!
-
My favorite Beatle is Paul McCartney.
-
My favourite is John. Maybe it's because I appreciate his lyrics more being writing myself, maybe because of his "differentness".
I love George too and respect Paul and feel a lot of warmth for Ringo
-

I think you pretty much sat on the fence there! ;D
-
Yes, I don't like to choose between them. But if somebody points a gun on me and I have nowhere to run to ;D I'll say John :B
-
My favourites are both John and George. I can't decide between them and they have been my favourites from the start. Both musically and personality-wise, I seem to be able to relate to them more.
-
Excellent taste, Tangerine! For me, it's George way out in front, and then John. I enjoy Paul and Ringo, but for me they don't have the personal appeal of the others. Cheers.
-
Yes, I don't like to choose between them. But if somebody points a gun on me and I have nowhere to run to ;D I'll say John :B
I'd say whatever they wanted me to say. ;D
-
It's a tough one, I love all of them but if I have to choose I would pick Ringo!!! Maybe because he's the funny one!! I just love him!!!
Chau!!!
-
Mine is John. For his charisma and his music.
-
Don't really have a favourite music-wise or person wise, but if I had to be stuck on desert island with one of them I guess it would be Ringo. He appears the most easy going and seems very genuine.
-

I couldn't agree more!!! Besides he's sooooo funny!! You wouldn't get bored!!!

Couldn't disagree with that. Though musically I'm veering more towards George these days.
-
You are all mad! Ringo is a fine fellow, undoubtedly, but the one you want to be stuck on the desert island with is George. He's a gardener; he can grow the food. ;)
-
All that chanting would do my f*cking head in. Besides, I bet Ringo could knock up a fine coconut cocktail. And when you got really bored he could tell Thomas The Tank Engine stories.
-
If I were stuck on a desert island, I'd want someone- *cough* I mean, someTHING to do. So I'd get Paul.
-

SomeTHING to do ... with Paul, I guess! ;D

woah! never thought that Paul would be on the third place.
Do I need to say who my favourite Beatle is? No.
-

Plus spiritual enlightenment to pass the time.

Paul McCartney, without a doubt.
-
George. Great personality and a great song writer.
-
Paul McCartney all the way!
-
Paul, I think.
-

-
My favourite Beatle?
All of them!!! I mean, depending on my mood I "follow" each one. Like, my first crush ws on Ringo, then I lurved after John. I had a thing for George and now I have a Macca-crush.
Songwise I tend to prefer John over Paul, but I love all of them, I mean they all have great songs. Even Ringo. :) His songs are so cheerful and nice. I love George's Indian influences. John's lyrics and Paul's melodies.
And their voices.
I am a diplomat, aren't I? But I refuse to choose. ;)
-
Hmmm.... a Beatle on a desert island with me? If that answer equals my fave beatle then the answer is....
Paul.
All the way. ;D
-
Hmm. I see Katrina throws diplomacy out the window to go all the way with Paul. ;)
That's fine. You can have your island with Paul, and I'll have George on mine. Happiness will be maintained. Cheers!
-
Yeah, and I'll take my John - can we have our islands close - we can have five o'clock tea parties sometimes ;D
-
Paul would knock down a few coconut trees, build a very nice resort and charge beach landing fees. John would marry a sea turtle and spend his days worrying that his island wasn't as popular as Paul's. George would turn into Ben Gum, paint himself orange and throw rocks at strangers.
Ringo and I on the otherhand would be kicking back with our coconut wine, talking sh*t and watching the sun go up, the sun go down, the sun go up, the sun go down......
-

haha brilliant!!!!
I can never decide between John and George as my favourite- I think they are completely equal for me but I go through phases of each of them. At the moment, I'm in a George phase so my vote goes to him- sorry John
wow craziness George is ahead of Paul! I've never seen that in a poll!
Ringo is a complete legend though. I've never been able to relate to Paul as much- I guess Im more similar to G + J
-
Yeah, and I'll take my John - can we have our islands close - we can have five o'clock tea parties sometimes ;D

I don't know if I've already said it but I'm a John fan too.

-
john is land sliding into first place...
-
Oh, no! I need to get a new account so I can vote for George again!
John is good. He's my second favorite. But George is tops in my book. Cheers.
-

Well, it isn't but I always thought I speak/ write well enough :B
Now my self-esteem dropped down *boom* :'(
But I'm definitely big John fan no matter the language ;)
-
I think I'm leaning more towards John these days. After all these years I don't know how it happened. Paul's been my favorite Beatles since I was like eight! But John was always very, very close behind. He finally caught up. Go figure.

I'm off to build a wall, or at least look at it.

Mine happens to be Paul. I'm quite amazed that Paul and George are so close you don't see that to often.

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....
-
I like Paul. He was very cute))
-
WECOME BEATLEMANIA!!
Paul is my fav too.
-
i cant answer cause all fabs are my favourit !
When i started with The Beatles i have had favourite Beatle and it was Paul.
But now i know and feel that i love every Beatle and every because of something different ...
John - cause he is great songwritter and because of his peaceful activity
Paul - his voice and tallent. His voice has great range.
George - because he makes me feel better when he sings, and makes me think about life after life. he is my favourit solo singer
Ringo - because of his sense of humor, his nose ;) and because he is great actor !
-
WELCOME WINTER!! :D ENJOY THE FORUMS!
So many young fans out there!! ;)
-
George - because he makes me feel better when he sings, and makes me think about life after life. he is my favourit solo singer
Yeah, he was a beautiful singer & had a great range.
Give Me Love just shows what a great singer he was!! ;)
-
George... I think I'm going to make this perfectly clear during my time here...
I was surprised to see George ahead of Paul... since he gets so much more publicity...
There has just been that "something" about George that gets me giddy!!!!
-
Seriously, where be the Ringo love here?
"Fans always pick on a nose, y'know..."
"Ahh, you pick on yer own..."
-
Whahoo! Another George fan! Welcome, DarkSweetLady. A lot of us found a welcome roost here. Enjoy the forums!
Poor Ringo! I think lots of people like him, just perhaps not as first choice. *pets Fox Drummer*

Yeah, and some people like him but are too shy to say so... like me :B (except K_E is gonna choose this smilie: ::)) No, but really, Ringo does happen to be my favourite (actually my name is an indirect reference ;)), so I'm with you there, Fox Drummer! :) Go RinGo!

Hard stuff man, hard stuff. I was going to offset the Paul-George tie (Im going through a Paul fanism phase at the mo)... so in the end I voted for Johnnie. I like everything about him apart from his love life.
Indeed Octie... ::) all i can say really., ::)

The hats! You gotta hate the hats.

soo damn hard to pick but...I'M INLOVE WITH JOHN! thats for sure, so yeh it would have to be John Lennon.. yep defently john. his just sooo *sigh* and so...*faints*. lol. John has always been my favorite, theres just something about him that distinguishes him from the rest. I loved him before i loved the beatles and he was the first one i noticed and he was sooo cute. one think i love about john is his humor and wittiness and his voice! his sexy voice! and i love his writing style. another thing is his peace activism. I love that he stood for peace and love. he could of made a difference if it wasnt for that scumbag that shot him and i wish he was still alive to carry on his message. :'( I also love his solo career and, like lyndal said, the lyrics send shivers down my spine.
then it would be paul he has such a cute innocent baby face and seems like the friendliest and nicest out of the four and can easily make you feel at ease. he was very cute, who wouldn't agree with that? also i'm into alot of the causes his for, like animal rights, vegetarianism and environmentalism.
then george. i'm the most like george in that im shy and quiet and like how he was spiritual and down to earth. then ringo last, aww poor ringo. i love him too don't get me wrong his adorable in an adorable kind of way. they all are such fun guys to be around and were all so unbearably cute. I love them all deeply more then words can explain.
-
Definitely George. I love his sense of humor and how down to earth he was.

I'd have to say Macca.

John, definitely.
No, Paul.
Well, maybe George.
Or Ringo?
Definitely.
-
In denial, alexis???? :-/
That's okay ;D
-
I agree with Sky, I guess that caught all of you off guard! hehehehheheh (rolling3)
I just like George alot.... there was always something so special about him to me.(inlove2) For more reasons than this little box can hold! But i'll give you one of those many reasons.... SHINY GLASSES! (rocknroll)
-
In denial, alexis???? :-/
That's okay ;D
It's sort of the opposite of denial!
-
John, definitely.
No, Paul.
Well, maybe George.
Or Ringo?
Definitely.
Hehe, this ties in well with your sig, alexis ;)
I know what you mean, they're all wonderful - all four of 'em ;D
-
I officialy declare myself more of a Paul lover than i was before.
I stil like Johnnie for everything apart from his love affairs (and yes i DO like the hats)
I like Paul physically (ie his physical looks)
i like George spiritualy (ie his thoughtful lyrics)
And Ringo is just small, cute, funny nosed ringo.
-
In denial, alexis???? :-/
That's okay ;D
You won't dislike Paul anymore if you spend a couple minutes with Sky! ;)
-
Paul forever.
-
That's a tough one for me... sometimes I feel John is my fave, others I feel is Paul, but wait I like George and Ringo too.... ;D
Actually my fave is John.
-
its the walrus baby for me :)
-
John Winston Ono Lennon!
-

-
Welcome to the forums Prudence! Enjoy!

-
GEORGE!!!
-
It's sometimes hard to choose. One day John will be my fav, then Paul, then George, and then Ringo. I love 'em all soooo much, they're all so talented and charming. But, I think I'll have to say that Paul is my very favorite. Love ya, Paulie!
-
I've gotta go with Paul! :)
-
I think I arleady posted here but i'll say it again JOHN!!!
at one point it was Paul but no, definitely John.

george is second
ringo and john are tied for third
-
John
-
George at presant although next week it might be Ringo :)
-
John ;)
-
From his high vocal line throughout 'This Boy', through to his bass technique on Rain, and finally to his unadulterated use of "Yeah's!" from '68 onwards ... it has to be the man - Paul Mccartney.

im going to add some more onto that Indica as i think i have a few more to build on it :)
from the lows and highs his voice can hit, to his every changing tone of his voice, to his inspiring and unique bass playing, to his great ability for songwriting and melodys and finally to his all round coolness.
MACCA IS THE MAN !!!!!!
-
I love them all. It's too hard to pick a favorite.
I could probably narrow it down between Paul and John. I love John's voice so much, but I love some of the songs that Paul wrote a lot more than what John wrote. Although, I do really love Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Come Together, and others, so I might have to give the edge to John.
Although, it just depends on the day and what I'm in the mood for, really.
-
i have to say "all of them"!! 8)
-
GEORGE!! of course.. hes so georgeous and sweet!!
though at first my fav was John but nah! not anymore..

Hey everyone! I'm new here, and glad to finally join a Beatles forum. The Beatles are absolutely amazing, and I don't think they shall ever leave my life. I hope to get to know everyone well here.
As for my favorite Beatle, it's very close but I would have to say John. Paul may have been the most genius melody creator, but John often seemed like the truly creative and inspired member. Not that our other lovely Beatles didn't have their great moments of inspiration too. All of The Beatles are special, and I would never replace a single one of them. That's what makes The Beatles so unique. Ahhh.... :K)
-
Lots of new members lately!
A warm welcome to all of you :)
-
I love them all. But my most favourite is Johny!....
-
john lennon: he had ( :o) good humor
-
John is my all time hero & Paul is my fav musician ever basically.
but REALLY i love them All!!! :)
-
minee is Ringoo!!!!
But i love them all!! ;D
-
George is mine.
-
Welcome to DM's forums Penguina9, hope you enjoy your stay! ;)
-
It's not right to have a favorite Beatle.
-
Sure you can! Maybe you like chocolate ice cream better than other flavors; it doesn't mean you hate all other ice cream. Maybe you honestly don't have a favorite flavor. That's cool, too.
-
I love Johnny! his my favourite voice forever, i am melting along with the sounds. besides his humour is unique and his manner is magnetic! but the fact is that they are so charismatic each of them, which makes the task unbelievably difficult. all are extremely handsome, but Johnny is sexy into the bargain!
-
John, Ringo, Paul, George
-
I have to give Paul due here. At one point or another I have said that all four of the Beatles were my fave. I had to give Paul a vote here. I feel that he does not get a fair shake sometimes.
-
they all have different things about them that I luv :) :) :) :)
-
i love them all they are all great in many ways,
great personalties
-
Ringo rules
-
I have love for all
-
Of course I like every of them, but I guess if I have to chose, it's John with no hesitations
-
It's against Massachusetts law to have a favorite Beatle. :)
-
Lennon, he founded the band. "If not for you..."
-
Lennon, he founded the band. "If not for you..."
That's a George Harrison song, written by Bob Dylan. ;)
-
Ahhh it really is extremely hard to choose a favorite, though I've always been so partial to Ringo. I just love his personality, and just looking back on some interviews and some videos he just seemed like the Beatle I would get along with the most, with Paul a very very close second. So yeah, this'll be my list I guess, though it was hard to make, and I'll say the reasons why.
1. Ringo - He just seems like the one I could get along with the most and I love watching him. He might not have created the best music, but sometimes personality can beat it out
2. Paul - All of my friends and family say I act like Paul the most hehe, and I guess I could relate with him a bit.
3. John and George - Complete tie. I love their music equally and find both very interesting.
-
george, he is so hot. then ringo, paul and john are tied.
-
one of my reasons for liking j more than p was john was quite quotable and made sense with what he said.i could understand his impatience for example, people CAN be bloody difficult.....he was kind of like a prophet to me and even tho he was a prick at times it seems he would be a pretty decent dude....
-
its gotta be john
he was the toppermost of the poppermost!
-
I voted for Paul, who has been my favorite Beatle since I was a little girl. The voice, the songs, the looks, the creativity, etc. all got me hooked.
My husband claims that it's simply not right to have a favorite Beatle, and although I can see where he's coming from, I can't help it. I tell him that it's not like I woke up one morning and suddenly decided to have a favorite. Sometimes these things just happen! 8) But just because I like Paul does not mean I don't like the others too. Each Beatle was amazing in his own way.
-
1. George!
2. John.
-
This is a stupid question! I simply cannot pick a favorite! (although I voted for John) They would not be the Beatles on their own,
so why pick a favorite? Jst some food for thought.
-
John Lennon! and i always have troubles choosing between george and paul for second.
-
I chose Ringo because he's always been my favorite. :)
BUT John's a very close second! ;)
-
John. He's always been my favorite... (heart2)
-
George!!! He's always been my favorite and probably always will (inlove2)
-
Paul!!!!Then John, George, Ringo...But I love them all.
-
My Sweet George forever! :D
-
I can't really pick a favorite. I love them all. Though I have to admit, I have quite a soft spot for Ringo.
-
I love John's music and sense of humour, amongst other things, and I view him as my favourite, but I love Ringo too.
-
I somehow missed this poll, oops!
One vote for Ringo, coming up :)
EDIT: oops, turns out I didn't miss the poll, it just started from the beginning... silly me :-[ ah well, it was fun to vote again :D
-
Ringo LOVE all the way! :)
-
George, of course. He is one of the most talented, underrated artists of all time. While paul and john wrote massive amounts of love songs, george wrote one every now and then. He later came up with one that he wasn't so certain about. This song is the second most covered song of all time. The song that sinatra calls " the greatest love song of all time". One with a great deal of irony, power, and emotion. the song is 'something'
and that isn't the only innovative song he has written, and that is saying something knowing that he's the youngest beatle!
other songs that i admire greatly:
don't bother me, i need you, think for yourself, if i needed someone, taxman, love you to, within you without you, blue jay way, it's all too much, here comes the sun, something, while my guitar gently weeps, long long long, savoy truffle, and i me mine.
-
Of course I love them all.
But I gotta give John the vote since he has written the most important songs of my life.
I identify the most with John.
-
Paul
-
I love all of em. John for his brain. Paul for his voice. George for jus being so lovely. And Ringo for jus being so Ringoy!! I feel like a beatle hopper though. :-[I used to be completely obsessed with Ringo but my love jus grew for George ( I think thats when I really got into his solo carrier) and now I think Im leaning towards John. I love them all and I always will.
-
The reason I addicted to the Beatles is PAUL :D
-
Hmmm ... It's weird .. I did not vote because I really really really did not know what to decide!
Paul is a perfect case, the best composer of this century and next century, with a melting smile, sweet and very vital figure in the Beatles.
John hunk (at least initially),Retorts , spiritual, the most famous man in the world (that was brought up - believe it) with an open mind and writes songs in bundles!
George. I discovered recently when I did research on him and his wife, he's really beautiful! Image is something no one had ever solved, writes a song once a month but the song comes out just lovely! And of course perfectly good guitar player.
Um .. Ringo! Well Ringo has everything! Graceful, nose, rings, height of his ,drumming ability, grace, smile!, Look, Venus, grace (OK, we absorbed!) Its own special beauty
.. This is why his vote, because everyone preferred my eyes!
