Yes, the clarity is amazing. As if cotton was taken out of my ears. It's a real treat.

I was very surprised by the difference compared to the stereo remasters. Thought it might be hype, but there's good stuff here.

 :)

I could talk about this set all day.  From the "honest" sound, to what looks to be exact replica mini-LP sleeves (I never owned original Parlophone LPs), this is a treasure.

The MONO Box Set is one of my "prized possessions."  ;)

Thanks for the heads-up about MMT Kelley.  At $40.00, I couldn't resist!

I paid $85 for it when I pre-ordered last Fall.  You'll enjoy the tour, George!

Good for you! I'm gonna order it too, just as soon as I convert my birthday money to an Amazon card. I've been to town twice now and I've forgotten to take it with me.  roll:)

It's one of those "so bad it's good" films.  It's so incredibly stupid, all I did the first time I saw it was laugh and enjoy it.

I can't wait to get those too. It will be the first new vinyl I've had for many years. Now the price is down to $36.99!

$4 cheaper than when I ordered it on Thursday.   Maybe it will keep coming down.

It's still holding steady but it was even lower a week ago, then went back up to 40.00. I wonder why that is. Maybe they keep switching suppliers.

Hard to say, maybe it's based on sales.  I bought the mono CD set in January 2012 for $140.00.  Now it's $200.00.  It was as high as $220.00 I think a couple months ago.

I got it for 130.00 one month later! LOL From the looks of things I'm very glad I did. But it's worth every penny.

Wow,  I forgot that I pre-oreded that!

I haven't watched the MMT Bluray yet, but I did listen to the EP.  The pressings are quiet, and the mono sound is nice.

I was wondering if yours had arrived yet! I'm glad to hear that the EPs didn't disappoint. I keep wondering just how much they were able to do with the film. I knew not to expect much when I watched it on DVD but it looked even worse than I thought it would. I had seen clips on
You Tube that looked much better.

The quality of the film is excellent, Kelley.  You won't be disappointed.

They were a phenomenon together and a fascination apart. The Beatles as a group released 12 studio albums in 8 years. As solo artists, however, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr have released a collective 70 LPs and 900 songs since 1968. Never before have the Fab 4 been covered like this: masterpieces and missteps, triumphs and tragedies, moments of clarity and serious lapses in judgment - they're all here. From George Harrison's lush Wonderwall (the shot that launched the post-Beatles era), to the Plastic Ono Band, Wings, the Traveling Wilburys, The Firemen, Ringo's hit singles and All-Starr Bands and more. An examination of their individual musical catalogues, their film careers, and their personal lives far and away from the studio are all covered for Beatles fans to enjoy. This stunning gift set contains four beautifully illustrated books -one for each Beatle - covering their lives since they broke up in 1969. Jam-packed with nearly 400 pages, 200 photos, quotes, lyrics, and memorabilia all packaged in an elegant slipcase, this is a must-have gift item for the Beatle-lover in your life. Longtime music journalist and former editor of Mojo magazine, Mat Snow has been writing about the Beatles for years, and he's doing fresh interviews with friends and colleagues of the Beatles to gain insight into the solo lives of these four extraordinary men.

and so much earlier the german Edition of the 1979 Book All You Need Is Ears by George Martin
"Es begann in der Abbey Road".
