Title: MMT Quality
Post by: KelMar on May 10, 2011, 04:52:07 AM
I know this was a low-budget film but the DVD I watched from Netflix was really bad. The clips I see from the film on YouTube always look a lot better so I'm wondering if maybe there's more than one release out there. I'd like to buy it but I'd rather just watch cleaned up YouTube clips if there's nothing better to be found on DVD.  ???

Thanks Cor. It was like it was over exposed or something.. All I could really see at the end were the white suits. I'd like to be able to see the look on John's face during this.  ;D

That's the one I have too.  It's an improvement over the VHS tape I originally bought and somewhat better than the examples above.

The 1997 MPI/Apple release DVD might be a bit better, Kelley, but as you mentioned the original film quality wasn't that good to begin with.  We're watching it the way it was originally seen.  We'll just have to wait for better release.

You might have the 1997 release then, Cor.  Let us know what you think.  I have the $20 Avenue One DVD and I think it's OK.  It looks like a 16 mm film which is the way it was filmed.

I've got the DVD and it looks good.I'm not sure if you want to buy it or just watch it online but if you want to get the DVD then I recomend it.
