Do you know what I think? I think the stereo mix fades longer than the mono mix. But another stereo mix found on the US stereo LP called Beatles '65 fades more longer.
-
Let's see...
THE BEATLES Remasters! /// 6. Mr. Moonlight - (BEATLES FOR SALE) - (MONO Remastered 2009) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9k6k2S6Rm0#ws)

The Beatles - Mr. Moonlight (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2og86F2Wls#)

still a rubbish song ha2ha
Bad To Me wouldve been a better choice
-
I like this song. ;D
-
I too do not know why this song is so disliked.

Yes, just as you stated Daniel. Thank you for that.

I don't know either, Gary. I've liked Mr. Moonlight from the first time I heard John's opening vocal.
-
No problem. I think RS2 of Mr. Moonlight was released in worldwide was RS1 was released in our country, the USA.

Me, too! Great song, great opening vocal.
-

Because it sucks. Sorry to be so honest, but it does.
Easily one of their worst songs ever. Lets see, the horrible organ, the terrible production, shaky backgrounds. Johns voice is decent and thats truly the only redeeming quality I can hear with this song.

Here there's a version by the Hollies.

I like this version. The vocals save The Beatles' version for me. I don't skip it when it comes on!

I don't skip any Beatles song. I always force myself to listen to the whole album when I put any record. ;D

Even Revolution 9? That would be loyalty above and beyond the call of duty! ;)

Although I really like The Hollies, this was pretty awful. The Beatles didn't do so bad after all.

Yeah, love the Hollies and the managed to do a much worse version than the Beatles. Wow.
-
That Hollies version is terrible.
I don't mind the Beatles version - certainly not one of their best songs, but I don't skip it when it comes on.
The organ sound is horrible and I agree that the production isn't great on it, but it could have bee a lot worse (as the Hollies proved!)
-

Yeah, even Revolution 9! But it's not that I love every Beatles song, it's just what I do when I listen to any record, I listen to it all, because I always may discover something new. I do the same with other bands I like. For example, the album Da Capo by Love ends with a song called "Revelation" that is 19 minutes long! And I always listen to it when I put that record. :)

Maybe the problem is the song. ;D

Yes, 'Revelation' can be hard to get through sometimes.

I think it has some moments of good music, but eventually it becomes tedious. However, the whole A-side of that album is really good.

ly tell!
ha2ha I'm never saying I like a song again! Like I've said before, I'm not a musician and you can probably tell! ;)

I tend to be that way too but Revolution 9 is so scary!

The A-side is awesome and I think it holds up to 'Forever Changes'.
-

Lately I'm digging it more than before, though it will never be a favourite, haha.
-

Yes, "She Comes In Colors" and "Seven And Seven Is" are gems. It's a great album, and more considering that it was released before Sgt. Pepper's, that gives it more credit.
-
I like the song.Mr. Moonlight is not even their worst cover(some original songs are worst too).I think that A Taste of Honey and some others are worst as songs themselves and as performances but it all is a thing of opinion,I guess.
-
I think that "Devil In Her Heart" may be the worst cover, at least to my ears. "Mr. Moonlight" at least has a good vocal. And I like "A Taste Of Honey", good vocal too.
-
The Beatles used to play it in the clubs, uptempo, not this dirge. Why the organ solo? El sucko, as a gringo might say.
"Bad To Me"? Nice idea. John wrote it at a time he thought such songs weren't right for his image as a singer. Too mushy. Why do you think he gave "Do You Want To Know A Secret" to George.
Better choice: "Leave My Kitten Alone". Why did that track sit in the vault so long?

Way up in the sky
Over the city and Lake Erie
You remember the flats, you were there
Out every night Mr. Moonlight
:)

Like the song. John's voice gets a good workout. Lots of passion. Like the intro.

Yay! Someone else likes Mr. Moonlight too! :)

We're definitely in the minority, Kathleen. But then, again, we've got good taste in music. ;)

They're gonna put me in the movies
They're gonna make a big star out of me
We'll make a film about a man that's sad and lonely
And all I gotta do is act naturally

I like it, too. That moves the group past being an organization and takes it in the direction of a movement.

Well then; I like Triste Luna, too! Los Aspon is fun to listen to, Barry but I can’t figure out how Dizzy Miss Lizzy became El Microscopico Bikini. ha2ha

I'm not a language expert, but doesn't triste mean sad?

Right, Kathleen. Triste means sad. The Spanish lyrics are quite melancholy and very different than the upbeat English lyrics. I think Los Apson's arrangement conveys a sad mood.
