Does anybody know an interview made by Bob Rogers at New City Hotel in Dunedin, New Zealand, in 1965 June the 25th??

That was on 26th June 1964. New City Hotel, Dunedin. There's quite a lot of interview stuff available from the '64 tour down under. Why that one in particular?

Because it seems that in that interview GH speaks about classical music on guitar...
Thank you!! ;)

Yes. It's from Disc 4 of the Australian Tour Diary. It's all the NZ stuff I have. I haven't listened to it for a while, so I don't know if what Xose wants is on there, but I think it's the same stuff as from the link he provided.

Thank you very much BlueMeanie!! ;)
I'm currently downloading the file...

It seems that George said something like "...I like Classical on the guitar..." at any point of that interview. Now I will have to find it at the audio archive Bluemeanie has -so kindly- sent to me. The problem is that I don't trust very much in my ears regarding a conversation in English language coming from an audio file...
I will let you know...
Best!! ;)

I can't find it... :-/
The information I got is from Walter Everett, The Beatles as Musicians, vol. I, p. 401, note 97: "...When asked about his taste in music on June 25, 1964, he said 'I like classical on a guitar'...", and then Everett refers to the New Zealand interviews. But the fact is that I can't find neither the question, nor GH's answer at those audios...

I see. I noticed my Lazy Tortoise is not complete. Is the series available anywhere?

I'll send you the link tomorrow.

Don't hurry. I was wondering if they're online somewhere so I can check what I'm missing.

Not for about 8 months. The night before it was taken down for the second time, I'd saved the entire site, so I still have everything. And a lot of the download links are still active.

Have you listened to the audios?? Have you found GH's saying??

George says something about the classical guitar and Segovia and all that in Andy Babiuks book Beatles Gear. I noticed that you got that, it's on page 119 if I'm correct.

Yes he does. It's taken from Beat Instrumental interview in November 1964. Thanks A LOT once more, Bobber!! ;)
I was recently told by Walter Everett himself that all of the 1964 Australia & New Zealand interviews as packaged on CD, do no mention anything about classical guitar. It seems that the Raven LP has all the tracks showing different timings than do the CD's, although this might not mean anything (=the timings may be inaccurate, or the edits may be different). But it would be useful to give a listen to the LP...

Hi again!! ;)
It seems that it's also NOT at Raven LP. It's at the same interview in which Ringo is asked about his favourite song from AHDN, but apparently this interview wasn't done in NZ or Australia.
So..., when and where was Ringo asked for his favourite song from the film??
Thanks and best wishes!! ;)

This little snippet is from the interview in Hong Kong, 8 June 1964. Bob Rogers attended the press conference.
Q: "George, you admire Segovia. Have you learned anything about guitar playing from him?"
GEORGE: "I haven't ever met him, and I haven't learned anything from HIM. I've learned a little bit, not very much, from his records."
-
I'm investigating interviews Bob Rogers did with The Beatles in Hong Kong.
-
^ Two interviews with Bob Rogers lasting a total of about 20 minutes are on the Lazy Tortoise Hong Kong CD.

I will inform Walter Everett inmediately...
Well done, Bobber!! ;)

Hi again!! ;)
At this video...

Thank you in advance!! ;)

No native speaker and I can't follow the segment completely.
When's your presentation in Madrid?

This video was recorded on 25 November 1963, although aired 27 November. If Ken Dodds already knows about George admiration for Segovia at this date, then it means that George expressed earlier his admiration for that classical guitar player..., didn't he?? So the question arises: when did George FIRST talk about his admiration for Segovia??

xDDDDDd
Yes: maybe... ;)
I have been having a look at those interviews included here (http://www.geocities.com/~beatleboy1/db.menu.html), but there is no mention to Segovia, except the one at Hong-Kong in June 8 1964...
Obviously enough, earliest mentions of Segovia by GH could be stated at any other interviews not included at that site...
Best!! ;)
