I've discovered lots of great albums (bought in thrift stores mind you) because I liked the album art.

I love the packaging on these.

Shiny and glossy. They look and feels great.

And the cardboard is of way better quality than most others.
Much more solid and not as easy to wear out.

The resolution on the actual pictures are great and the covers look better than ever.

I was only poking gentle fun about the covers!  I've bought a fair few records on the basis that the cover will be a good pointer towards that which is most important...the music.

I love the packaging.  The mono records are just beautiful, awesome pieces of mini-art.  I look at them and just feel emotional.  It's a shame they're not being released on vinyl, as to see these on a 12" format would be perfect.  So much great cover art is lost when it's shrunk down to the size of a cd case.

The stereo covers are beautiful, too.  I love the extra pictures and the booklets.  Finally, Apple/EMI have taken an interest in these records.  The 1987 cds were perfunctory and issued without any attention lavished upon them.  Now they've been lovingly treated as they should be and the results bear wonderous fruit.  I could go on, but it's boring you all....

Nothing is Beatleproof.

I think it's clever how the boxset opens and closes with a magnetic bit to it
