The Beatles 'Love Me Do' to be released as commemorative 7" single

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI told us today that The Beatles’ first Parlophone single, “Love Me Do” will be released as a commemorative 7” single on October 22nd. “Love Me Do” was released on October 5th, 1962 as a 7-inch vinyl single with “P.S. I Love You” on its flipside.

Interview: Director Seth Swirsky Discusses His New Documentary Beatles Stories

Beatles Stories, now available on DVD, was a labor of love undertaken by director Seth Swirsky some eight years ago. Swirsky began interviewing individuals who had experienced personal encounters with The Beatles. Many of the interview subjects were famous (Jon Voight, Ben Kingsley, Henry Winkler, to name a few), some were not (Beatle fan and former “Apple Scruff” Cathy Sarver).

Producer 'thrilled' by funding grant for Beatles film

The producer of “Good Ol' Freda,” the film about Beatles fan club secretary Freda Kelly, told Beatles Examiner on Friday she's thrilled at the film's being honored with a grant this week by the Women in Film Foundation.

Planned film on Beatles' Brian Epstein moves ahead with graphic novel, website

The producer of “The Fifth Beatle,” the planned bio film on Beatles manager Brian Epstein, told Beatles Examiner Wednesday the film will be based on a new graphic novel and that he'll unveil a redesigned website for it this week.
