Watched the Anthology DVDs, and I got a question
« on: September 09, 2004, 06:32:47 PM »

During the Abbey Road section, the Beatles and George Martin stated how everyone was excited and put a lot of work into this album because they all kinda figured it'd be their last album, and since they were excited, the pieces came out great.  There were also pictures of the Beatles working all together at this point in the studio and such.  However, other sources say things like, "It's no mystery that there weren't any more than 2 Beatles at any time during the Abbey Road sessions, and everyone hated each other by then."

I'm confused.  Which source is correct?

Always believe what the Beatles and George Martin state. Books are usually wirtten by people who weren't even then at the time, so they based their theory on other sources. I believe the Beatles.

Reminds me of how on Anthology John claimed he jammed with Elvis when the Beatles went to the King's house and George was surprised because he says they never jammed with Elvis!

Did John claim he jammed with Elvis? I thought Paul claimed John jammed with Elvis and Ringo backed him up with this. I dunno though - I need sleep: it's 1:20am again and I'm still here!!!!!

Yup. Right when they were talking about it they played a sound clip from John talking about the meeting. He said they just picked up whatever instruments were laying around and started jamming. I don't know if he said jamming though. But you get the point. ;D
I like when George says Ringo played football with him! Ha, I just couldn't see Elvis playing football. But then again they probably meant soccer. I couldn't see Elvis playing that either!
