Oh lord the background vocals of HCTS sound do prominent now and so damn good   Just magnificent

The background vox on the whole album come out so well in this. As does Ringo’s drumming. Hearing little fills and things that I hadn’t  noticed before.

So, I guess nobody's listening to the remix.  If they are, why aren't there any reviews being posted here?  There should be lots of them.

It’s a lot to listen to Loco.

I think the remix sounds great. Even though like many I didn’t think the margin to improve Abbey Road  was as great as for other Beatle  albums, there’s no doubt the clarity of the instruments and voices is improved immensely. It really brings out the backing vocals and the detail on Ringo’s drumming. There really was some superb drum parts from
Ringo on this album which were less prominent in the old mixes.

As usual the alternate and outtakes are fun to listen to. It’s good to hear them playing as a band live on the backing tracks. And the instrumental only tracks of Something and Golden Slumbers are gorgeous. I’ll put them on playlists as standalone pieces.

yeah, Moog, there's lots to listen to.  I like to read what other people think of the enhanced sounds.  Also, I could probably post more reactions myself but I've gonna have to plug in the earphones and listen a while (again).

I will say this:  If you are listening to the songs, you kind of forget about whether it's the remix or not.  You just enjoy the songs regardless of their being in mono, stereo, remix, whatever.

It's just plain good music - really good music!!

My Abbey Road Super Deluxe Set was delivered a week ago.  I haven't had the chance to give it a listen.  I'll get to it this weekend.

What did you think?

I'm happy I bought the set, Euan.  Though I've enjoyed some of the tracks over the years on my Pear Alternate Abbey Road CD, it's nice to have that, and more, in this Super Deluxe Set!

Most of what's on discs 2 and 3 was new to me. The trial edit and mix of the medley blew me away!

Last night I bought the 2-CD set. I really enjoy it! Can't wait to ride home from work tonight and finish listening to disc 2.

Also, it's crazy to think that it'll probably be another 25 years before we see something like this again. Really makes you then wonder what the 100-year anniversaries of everything will be like :o I'll be 70-some years old when the time comes lol.

The 100th year anniversary of Abbey Road will be 2069.  I can't imagine what sound recording technology could do differently then.  Can you?

Maybe they'll send music directly to your brain somehow.

Scary thought! The potential for abuse is enormous.   ;D. But I have a song simmering in my brain at almost any given moment already. I can’t always control what’s playing, but at least I can still take steps to remove what I don’t like!

Shirt script I wrote for a script website challenge using specific criteria.

Mine were historical, newsstand, pair of flip flops and a stand up comedian

I think the joke was on the folks who paid for the super deluxe package.  I bought the single CD and just downloaded the rest. Good thing, cause I rarely play any of it.

As far as the 50th anny Abbey Road CD, I find it sounds really, really good.  But then I put on the 2009 CD, and it too sounds really good. :o
