Totally agree. How different it all could have been if they'd ended up at Decca.
I feel sorry for him for not getting the chance to Produce Free As a Bird etc. (I know his hearing had gone)

Does anyone know what 2 songs George Martin quotes as his favourite? 1 from John and 1 from Paul.

It may surprise some of you.

Hm, i think Tomorrow never knows from john and Helter skelter from PAul. I think George Martin liked heavy rock!

Sorry......No. Do you like Heavy Rock?

Oh, when i listen to the Beatles I like almost everything. Also Tomorrow never knows and Helter skelter. I don't like modern things like heavy metal or death metal. I don't like modern dance too much. but everything from popmusic (yes, Robbie Williams also) and nice tunes I like. Nothing extreme.
But what is the answer to your question?

I'm not sure whether to let this question run a bit first before revealing. ;)

:D Hmm, interesting theory Tamara. Ok, my answer would be "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" and "I've Got A Feeling"   :)

I've read somewhere that George Martin really liked Here There And Everywhere. I'm not sure about John's song. A Day In The Life?

^He he. Which one are you settling for?  :P

"Strawberry Fields". Its got to be. George Martin was super proud of that, the slowing down of the vocals and the slight speeding up of the music so the twain met perfectly.

Yup yup. :)

After a bit of googling, here's the transcript of an online chat with Sir George:

ladysue44: What was your favorite Beatle song and why?
george_martin_live: another difficult one!
george_martin_live: if its Paul - Here there everywhere - its such a lovely simple song
george_martin_live: if its John - Strawberry Fields - A real touch of magic
george_martin_live: If its George - Something - an unbelievable piece of music!
