I'm surprised to see a photo of Ringo in London in the fifties. A school trip? Maybe, but that doesn't look entirely like a school uniform he's wearing and he didn't spend much time at school. So how did he get there? Any ideas?

"We sort of conned our way out of the hospital so I didn’t have to be there for my 15th birthday. We went down to Romford, where my step-dad’s family lived. His dad was great and knew London like the back of his hand, so we went all around London. There’s me, patting the Horse Guard’s horse". -Ringo Starr (from his e-book Photograph)
