It's Time For Black Sabbath To Stop Rocking.
« on: February 20, 2005, 06:40:51 PM »

Black Sabbath will be touring again this year which is ludicrous after over 30 years of rocking the planet with their bluesy, ballsy, blistering heavy metal thunder which changed the face of rock & roll in the 70's with classic rock albums like Paranoid, Master Of Reality & Black Sabbath 4.  The original Sabbath lineup with Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler & Bill Ward gave rock a good kick in the ass when it needed it at the time after the 60's were over with Woodstock & the Beatles breaking up defining 70's rock. Ozzy leaving the group in 79 to become a successful solo artist in his own right could have been the end then Ronnie James Dio became frontman for BS & then former DP frontman Ian Gillan took over for one album before everybody & their grandmother joined this legendary rock band before the reunion back in 99.  The Black Sabbath reunion tour back in 99 should have been the last instead of numerous tours afterward because they look as silly onstage as the Stones & Aerosmith do now but I'm not expecting another album of original material as some fans do anytime soon.  BTW, Ozzy Osbourne will be remembered more in rock history for his Black Sabbath days & as a solo artist along with being out of his mind sometimes than his reality series The Osbournes.
