Oh yes. Thank you!! ;)

Again -as in TTWY- a change of "mood", from the electric one on Take 1, to the "acoustic" (=including Ringo "Latín" feel) on Take 2...

VERY interesting...

Oh, since you know guitars, Xosé, that's a Gibson Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridge on my Country Gent replacing the original bar bridge which resides in the case.

Yes.  The Tune-O-Matic has an ebony foot to match the fretboard.

Gretsch should have set up the Country Gentleman with an adjustable bridge.

What about TTWY Spanish guitar??

Well. There is no photographic evidence so far, and according to Voormann own words:

«In the later part of 1963, Klaus traveled to London and visited his friends, The Beatles. It was during this time that he gave George the Ramírez Classical. Voormann remembers, "When I came back to London, George saw me play the guitar and I played him some classical pieces and he was knocked out the way I was playing the guitar. Then he was using it a lot in the studio for A Hard Day's Night and in the filming he was using it as well"»

But we have this quote from Ivor Mairants, My Fifty Fretting Years, Newcastle, Ashley Mark, 1980, pp. 102-103:

«It [Ivor Mairants Music Centre, at the Oxford Street end of Rathbone Place, London] opened on 1 September 1962... The Beatles and The Shadows were then very strong and both Paul McCartney and Hank Marvin bought Ramírez flamenco guitars quite independently of one another to add an additional effect to their groups»

Opinions welcome...

Best!! ;)

How strong or well-known were The Beatles precisely on September 1st 1962? Moreover, if Paul did purchase a Ramirez on that day, it certainly wasn't used for a long time. That is, not on Beatles recordings.

Maybe it was purchased just before 30 July 1963 by EMI?? Or rented/borrowed by EMI for that session??

And..., what about Klaus words??

Till There Was You by The Beatles with no vocals version

"«Play one of those Bach pieces that you were always practicing in Tenerife. Please, now that would be nice!»

I blushed and immediately got sweaty fingers. I tried with a Bach Prelude, trying to do my best"

Klaus Voormann received classical guitar lessons in 1962, when he was living in Tenerife. His teacher was Silvestre Álvarez, classical guitar professor and concert player, who lived near the Voorman's home there...

Thank you, Bobber!! ;)

Yes: that is Lennon with his Valencian guitar... Photo taken at his flat in London by Astrid and Max Scheler in March 1964. There are, at least, fifteen more shots of Lennon with his guitar from that session...

Best!! ;)
