I take it she's unhappy with those books. If so, she'd love it at our library. We never even put Fifty Shades of Grey in our collection! Not that I mind on that particular one but there certainly was a more diverse collection where I worked before. Some that made me go  :o LOL

Maybe she's upset because the books' Dewey decimal labels were out of order.   :)

I wonder if Satanism's Dewey decimal is 666?

I don't know! Is that philosophy and psychology or religion? I'd ask my co worker who's really good at cataloging but then she'd wonder why I want to know.  ;D

The Public School System in New York City was first rate when I was in school.  Our junior high school had a small but well stocked library.  I really enjoyed Library Session and the school librarian was real sweet.  I remember my first time there when I walked through the stacks committing to memory how all the books were catalogued.  She never gave me a hard time for not using the Dewey card files.  :)

The librarian's attitude can really set the tone with kids. I'm glad you had a sweet one.

My favorite library was Gould Library at the NYU University Heights Bronx campus where I attended college.  What a building!  It was a replica of the Panthion in Rome...

My freshman year I got to see them filming Goodbye Columbus at the library...

There was an auditorium on the lower level.  I got to see John Sebastian give a concert there in the Fall of 1969.

So of course I went to see the movie.  That's how I got a crush on Ali MacGraw...

I was just about to ask you if seeing that filming led to a stay there! LOL

But wow Barry; what a stunning building. I think I would be almost overwhelmed there and forget what I came in for. I was in NYC about a month ago and hoped to visit the library. We stayed at The Roosevelt Hotel so we were close but we ended up spending most of the day at  1 World Trade Center.

My first stay at the ward was after I interviewed Linda Ronstadt three years later...
