I just found it, I never even knew it existed. Incredible! Here's the link for the some of you who haven't heard it yet.
Sound quality is expectedly poor. What struck me is how John's voice had already become what we recognize it as, and also how "Beaty" the beat was.
I can't believe I've actually heard this!

There is a CD on Ebay that has the :27 of that recording as well as the demos from 1 Jan '62, Tony Sheridan stuff, etc. as well, on silver discs.

Well Met At Woolton
- BBC Radio Documentary
This is a documentary broadcast on July 3rd on BBC Radio 4 about the Woolton Fete. It features interviews with some of the surviving Quarrymen, and some snippets of Paul McCartney from tapes made by John's half sister.
You can downlaod it from the Bootleg Forum.

Also, In Spite Of All The Danger, and That'll Be The Day on Anthology 1 are Quarrymen recordings from 1958.

Wait, so wouldn't this be bigger news if it were recordings from that actual day? I mean, that's historic. I think Apple would have done something with it. Or maybe not. I mean, they do make us wait for most eveything of interest. Anyway, I forgot the Bootleg password! Can someone PM me? Thanks!

I know that tapes were much longer than the excerpt actually known. I guess they are 3-4 minutes long. George Martin tried to use it for the Anthology project, but quality was so bad that he left them.
