"I Want to Hold Your Hand" vs "She Loves You"
« on: September 06, 2007, 02:34:19 PM »

Which of these two early Beatles songs do you prefer?  I know that I love both, as you all do, but in the end, you have to choose one over the other for being the superior.  They were both recorded and released (in the UK) around the same time, more or less, so its not a matter of the Beatles getting more experienced from one song to the next.

I haven't had the pleasure of hearing either of these songs "remastered," which I'm sure would make a world of difference to both songs...but as they stand now, I guess I'd go with "I Want to Hold Your Hand" because I prefer the intricate guitar riffs.

It's such a hard choice, they are both brilliant songs!
But i always go for She Loves You as it's my favourite pop
song ever! the sound of that track is just amazing & it's really rough sounding.
I also think it's the first song that kick started the Beatlemania! :)

"She Loves You" -- yeah
haha, yup- thats a good way to sum it up.

I find I wanna Hold your H very repetitive and there's not much of a story or a messege there. I always said that the reason it became 1st no.1 in the USA is because of the timing rather than the actual song.
SLY- great song, has a story, 1st song to be from the 3rd person, good chorus, great listening and dancing song... What more can I say?

Ps. I love these little poll songs things you do Buttmunker

I don't know why, but She Loves You. It's a fantastic, fresh, song. I don't know, I don't like IWTHYH too much.

She Loves You - Ringo's drumming makes it. It's uplifting.

I've always loved "She Loves You."  Aside from being a terrific pop-rock song with a good harmony, it just has a manic spark to it that reminds you of Beatlemania.  I always think of the hysterical girls in "AHDN" when I hear this song as well.
