Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand has an extra guitar
« on: May 02, 2011, 02:39:53 AM »

A few weeks ago, I discovered that Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand has an extra guitar overdubbed.
The guitar I'm talking about makes the ascending scale after the words (in German, of course!) "Oh Yeah I'll tell you something... (GUITAR) I think you'll understand".
That guitar is not present in any of the other mixes of the song: Mono, Stereo, Anthology, Love, Rock Band. Maybe because that overdub only exists in the German multitrack.
Probably when they were recording the german vocals they noticed that that particular guitar riff was a little weak and tried to reinforce it.
And finally, I think the reason nobody noticed this thing is because nobody EVER listens to that track!

Yes, the Instrumental was from the english Orginal Track, it was mixed down from four tracks to two tracks and sent to France.
So the extra guitar had to be overdubbed in the "French" tape, not in the original Abbey Road master. I think that's the reason the new gtr is not in any of the other versions.

I made a short clip showing the difference between the two versions.
Here it is:

Beatles- Extra Guitar

You can clearly hear another guitar in the German version.
