According to this source (http://www.dmbeatles.com/history.php?year=1968) Kenwood was put up for sale on 11 December 1968. This would point to this video being filmed BEFORE that date..., wouldn't it?? (=beginning December though...)
John Lennon - Everybody Had A Hard Year (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6g6vzHXyxgc#)
Besides, photographic evidence of Kenwood at those days shows the house as if John & Yoko were collecting their belongings to move. So..., when did they really leave the house and when was the video filmed??
Thanks in advance and best wishes!! ;)

BTW: interestingly enough, I own a capo since ca 30 years like the one Lennon is used on the Ramírez at that film:

When a house is put up for sale, it isn't sold yet. I'm not exactly sure when they left the place to move to the Dakota. I really need to get out my reference books out of the box.
-
I dont have exact dates, but I know John and Yoko moved back into Kenwood during the November trials and I dont think they left until early 70'. Could be wrong though.

The Dakota???
Hold your horses Bobber. After Kenwood they moved into Tittenhurst on August 11th 1969.In between time they lived in Ringo' flat in Montagu Square which is where they were busted for drugs.
As for Xose's question I've no date to give but given the song and the clothes it must be late 68/early 69, mustn't it?

Bobbers right though because after they got busted, they moved back into Kenwood.

I knew they moved somewhere, but I forget where.

Don't be daft tkitna, they didn't go from Kenwood to the Dakota.
By the way I've found a photo from the same day as Xose's clip and it's dated December 1968.

Eh, your probably right. I'd have to look it up. For some reason I thought they moved back into Kenwood during the drug bust trials and then moved around for a while and then the Dakota, but I had forgotten about Tittenhurst.

found a website called "John Lennon's Homes" that lists where john lived chronologically
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/carousel/pob40.html (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/carousel/pob40.html)
it goes into alot of detail
seems to say that from kenwood, john went to live with the maharishi . .
somewhere in there john's marriage dissolves . .
kenwood was ultimately put up for sale in december 68
but supposedly right after john left kenwood, he and yoko stayed at a place paul owned in st johns wood as paul's guest - got some bad vibes (saw a letter from paul saying "you and your jap tart think you're hot sh*t") and left . .
then a few nights with peter brown
then a week with neil aspinall
then at a place ringo owned in marylebon london where there was a drug bust
then another place ringo owned called sunny heights in weybridge
(all in all - ringo was the generous friend who really kept a roof over their heads between kenwood and tittenhurst)
-
john and yoko bought tittenhurst in may 69
-
but while it was being renovated they lived in a hotel
------------------------------------------------
they went from england to new york in 1971 where they lived in a hotel and then in a greenwich village loft on bank street that they rented from a member of the lovin spoonful
then comes the dakota
------------------------------------------------
-
-
i didnt read all the details and dates on the site because it feels kind of stalkerish.
basically - from kenwood to tittenhurst to the dakota seems to be alot of couch surfing/hotels/etc with overlapping dates and it seems drugs were involved
-
Great site nyfan.

Excellent... Thank you very much!! ;)
So, from December 1968 until May 1969, John & Yoko lived a very different places.
The Harrison/Voormann Ramírez guitar is seen at Kenwood by June 1967:

At the Queen Charlotte Hospital in Hammersmith, on 4-25 November 1968:

And on December 1968 at Kenwood*:
John Lennon - Everybody Had A Hard Year (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6g6vzHXyxgc#)
I wonder where at those houses the couple lived in from December 1968 until May 1969, was the guitar forgotten...
* There are several other shots from these days...
-
Let's listen the Ramírez played by Lennon in 1968:

Another song with Lennon playing Harrison/Voormann's Ramírez:

Recorded at Room No. 1 Second West Ward, Queen Charlotte Hospital, Hammersmith, when Yoko's pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage from 4th November until 25th November 1968...

Any better shot of this pic??:

Wow. Maybe in here: http://kenwoodlennon.blogspot.com/ (http://kenwoodlennon.blogspot.com/)

ha2ha The same picture is in there. You probably even found it there?

Correct... ;D

The Mayoral was still on Lennon's hands when he and Yoko lived at Tittenhurst in 1971:
A tape recorder over the table would suggest he was recording with the Mayoral at those days.
Any surfaced Lennon recordings dated 1971??
Xosé

It looks more like an interviewers taperecorder. There's a lot of recordings from 1971.

The Mayoral was still on Lennon's hands when he and Yoko lived at Tittenhurst in 1971...
The Mayoral returned back to Lennon and the Ramírez returned back to Harrison. 3, Saville Row, Summer 1969:

So, the picture would be something like:
- John & Yoko move out of Kenwood leaving Lennon's belongings there (=including the Mayoral...)
- John & Yoko go to the hospital on 4 November and Lennon needs a guitar there (=Harrison lends him the Ramírez...)
- John & Yoko returned back to Kenwood and Lennon uses the Ramírez to record some pieces (='Everybody Had A Hard Year', 'Song For John', 'Don't Worry Kyoko'...)
- Harrison recovers his Ramírez (=1969) and Lennon his Mayoral (=1969??)
Why did Lennon prefer nylon instead of -for example- an acoustic guitar to play at the hospital??
Xosé

Why did Lennon prefer nylon instead of -for example- an acoustic guitar to play at the hospital??
Maybe he prefered the softer sound of nylon strings instead of the loud metallic ring of steel strings, considering being in a hospital enviroment / around his wife who was in fragile health?

Thank you, Ken Wood!! ;)
Yes: I guess that was real reason...
Best!! ;)
