10 Lampard Court doesn't appear to exist. This is Lampard House, 8 Maida Avenue. Could this be the place?

That is the place!

zipp: I will try to find more Knole Park pics, i have them somewhere on the computer.

Well, here are some new pics from this spring!

In the hotel rooms bathroom, ready to hit the streets on the first day

A visit to Masons Yard, the first pic shows the former premises of the club Scotch of St James. A "rock star"-club in the sixties where The Beatles had their own table. I think Jimi Hendrix first London gig was here?
Second pic shows the building where the Indica Gallery was located. It was here that John met Yoko for the first time. There was also a book store in the basement, a store that was frequently visited by Paul.

Mario's Cafe in Kentish Town, famous from the Saint Etienne song "Mario's Cafe". Great song, and Mario is a great guy who serves great coffee!

Primrose Hill. Paul's inspiration for "The Fool on the Hill". Second pic shows a quote from the Blur song "For Tomorrow", painted on the small road on the way to the top. The quote says "And the view's so nice".

And, as always, a new visit to Abbey Road! I mean, you can't go to London and not visit this holy ground.

Nice pics!

I've been to London a couple of times and never went to Abbey Road. Would you believe that!

You're fully dressed, but in the bathroom? Did you forget to brush your teeth? You don't look that kind of guy. You look like you're backing in - are you going for a poo? Is that a "do you mind!" look on your face or did you say "take a photo of me going in for a dump - it'll set the mood nicely"? I need to know.

hey guys.
me and the gf made a trip to london from sweden, and of course we visited places related to the fab four, and some other great sixties locations.

first we went to savile row number 3. awesome. i listened to "get back", standing on the street. hehe.

I went to 3 Savile Row the other day - was in London to see Roger Daltrey at the Royal Albert Hall.
Seems to be a lot more grafitti there now than there was when you were there!!

First two photos, Percy Phillips Studio.

"The Quarry Men
14 July 1958 - Monday
Percy Phillips' Studio
38 Kensington
Liverpool

On this day, The Quarry Men made what would become known as
The Beatles' first recording. In addition to John, Paul and George,
the band still included Colin Hanton on drums and new member

John "Duff" Lowe on piano.

Previously, the date of this recording was generalized as mid 1958.
Creation of the new plaque (above) reveals that the date has somehow
been determined to be 14 July 1958. How this was determined is unknown. Perhaps studio documents or some long lost diary has been discovered."

Third photo, 64 Mount Pleasant.

"64 Mount Pleasant was the place of a Registrer's Office. Here on Thursday 23 August 1963 JOHN married CYNTHIA"

Fourth photo, Liverpool Maternity Hospital.

"MATERNITY HOSPITAL , Oxford Street is the birthplace of Liverpool's most famous son - JOHN WINSTON LENNON. He was born here at 6.30 pm on Wednesday 9th October 1940."
