Which albums trigger memories for you?
« on: September 07, 2005, 07:15:03 PM »

Smells are known for triggering memories but music will to, so I was wondering what songs or albums triggered memories for any of you.

I'm a gamer so I tend to play a sh*t load of games, and I tend to listen to music while I play them, so when I got GTA3 i played it for awhile and i ended up playing Please Please Me constantly during that time. so everytime i hear any of those songs i now have a massive urge to play GTA3.

I was obessed with Penny Lane at the time when my mom was having an operation and I was staying at my aunt's, so whenever I hear Penny Lane it reminds me of that.
Once our class sang Yellow Submarine and my friend kept going "woo! woo!" after each stanza so whenever I hear YS I think about doing that.
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds reminds me of my childhood because my dad used to always sing that to me when I was little.
And Hey Jude reminds me of the time that I sang it in my school's variety show.

Abbey Road because my dad used to wake my sister and I up with Here Comes the Sun.

Any early Beatles because my grandfather and I used to play solitaire and listen to the Beatles on tapes that he made.

White Album. My friend and I were working on a project for Social Studies when he cranks up the White Album on his stereo and starts drumming like f*** on the floor. This was one of my early tastes of the Beatles and their lesser known tunes and was intrigued by how hard they were playing on a lot of their tunes. I started banging the floor, table, whatever. We ended up half-assing the project just so we could listen to the album, eat pizza, and have a good time.

My friend moved, but that memory ain't ever leaving me.
