I`ve seen This Is England on DVD. About skinheads, terrible. The only thing I find strange is that Shaun throws the flag of England into the water and it sinks. What does that mean?

I haven't seen it, but I imagine it's meant as a metaphor for death.

Casino Royale. A great Bond movie. Probably my favorite.

It was the best Bond in ages, I thought. Is Quantum of Solace out anywhere yet?

The Happening
I really used to be a fan of M. Night Shyamalan's work. "The Sixth Sense", "Unbreakable" and "The Village" were excellent. But "Lady in the Water" was a huge dissapointment and this one's even worse. Shyamalan basically made a movie of an idea for a story instead of an actual story...

The Darjeeling Limited
About three brothers who are traveling through India by train. It looks like a comedy, but it isn't funny, so in the end it's just weird. The story really doesn't go anywhere.

Starship Troopers 3
OK, this was pretty much the other way around: this one is funny while it's not meant to be a comedy. Childish story, amateurish execution, so it's probably destined to become a cult hit.

Requiem for a Dream
Very good, impressive movie, but pretty depressing...

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
I think it's a reasonable addition to the first three movies. Harrison Ford still pulls it off, he doesn't really come off as an old man. One thing that annoyed me a bit though was that the characters just for some reason kept falling from great heights and that nobody ever had even a scratch. If the plot is unrealistic, it doesn't mean that every element of the story has to be unrealistic...

My hubby likes James Bond a lot, so I decided to watch some films that he had borrowed.

First I watched "Live and Let Die" (take a wild guess why  :P ) and I thought it was.....eh.  I don't like Roger Moore for some reason, and the storyline was kind of dumb.  Great theme song, though!  (*cough cough cough*)

Then I saw "From Russia With Love" and thought that Sean Connery was a better Bond than Moore.  However, I'm pretty much convinced at this point that James Bond needs to check into rehab for sex addicts (hehe).  He always needs to be humping somebody.   ;D

I saw "Casino Royale" starring Daniel Craig when it first came out in theaters.  Although I'm not a big Bond fan, I thought it was a very well-done film, and Craig did an awesome job.

Comandante
A documentary by Oliver Stone. These are 90 minutes of the 30 hours of interviews that Stone did with Fidel Castro a few years ago. I think it's a bit too chaotic and it's annoying to constantly hear the interpreter talking through it, but it certainly is an interesting historical document. Cause if you like him or not, Fidel is a living legend, and it's certainly interesting to hear him talk about his coup, Che Guevara, the Bay of Pigs Invasion, Kennedy...

Yeah, I liked Casino Royale too. Looking forward to Quantum of Solace 8)

Last one I saw (today actually) was The Duchess. To be honest I didn't really enjoy it because the story is so sad. I felt awful for the duchess herself :( Being forced to marry someone she didn't love, nor did he love her, for the sole purpose of "social standing" and "producing an heir", and having to tolerate her husband's affairs, selfishness, and worse... :(  I suppose it was the fate of many women back then, and it was considered normal or something, but that whole situation really annoyed me. And I seriously wanted to throw popcorn, or something heavier, at Ralph Fiennes' character >:( What a complete..... grrrr!! >:(
But, the acting was very good, and nice costume/set design too :)

GAHHHHH I still haven't seen it!!!!  My sister and her now ex went to see it while I was at work.  I guess I'll have to rent it or something.  I think the last movie that I saw (in theaters) was the Star Wars: Clone Wars.  I don't know if I already talked about it but it was exactly like the tv show that they had out a few years ago.  I think it would have been much better if they had actual people instead of the animation.

I am a huge Star Wars fan and that Clone Wars movie disappointed me greatly because it didn't feel like Star Wars to me at all but at the same time you can easily tell that it was made for kids.

The last Bond movie. I liked it very much. What I liked in that movie most of all was Bond himself.
