What's the worst Rolling Stones album of all time?

Their Satanic Majesties Request....it's one of the worst albums the Stones have ever released because it's just a Sgt. Pepper ripoff during the psychedelic era with about 1 or 2 good tracks but the album cover is a masterpiece.

I can name more than 2 good tracks off this album:

She's A Rainbow
2000 Light Years From Home
2000 Man
Sing This All Together
Citadel (very underrated song)
The Lantern

deadman's right: citadel is an underrated song.  There are plenty of other excellent songs on Satanic Majesties.  The worst Stones albums are some of those lame mid-80s--not to even mention their 90s.  But during the classic period, I'd say "Goat's Head Soup" is pretty weak.

THere's a hole crap load of bad LPs because they made so many of them! Anybody remember "Flash  Point"? I rest my case. Black and Blue, Steel Wheels etc. These seemed like vehicles for making money not music! Satanic was really disjointed. The 2000 light years, Citidel, Shes a Rainbow was good the rest was pretty weird.

You're right Goats Head Soup has Angie and heartbreaker and some other things like "winter" but it's sorta a falloff after exile.  It's only rock'n'roll is about the same.  Better than mediocre but not great.  With the exception of Angie, it seems like they're going through the motions.

Dancing with Mr. D always struck me as a bit stupid lyrically.  Enough already.

I haven't checked every single Stones album, but "Dirty Work" comes pretty close to being their worst.

Wasnt 'Flash Point' live? I cant remember, but if it is, I think I played a ton of tunes off of that at the college bar's jukebox. 'Black and Blue' kinda sucked I always thought.
