Ringo Starr and His All-Star Band in Boston.
« on: June 26, 2008, 03:05:03 AM »

I got back from the concert about 15 minutes ago. It was AMAZING! He said he loves coming to Boston. So, on an important note, on July 7, at 12:00 PM, whatever you're doing, say, "Peace and love." That's your birthday present to Ringo. Anyways, back to concert-ness, Billy Squier played my favorite song, in which I forget the name, that Edgar Winter guy played "Frankenstein" and it was intense. Gary Wright, or at least I think, played "Dream Weaver" and learned that George Harrison inspired him. And that guy from "Men Who Work", who I think is Hamish Stuart, but the name escapes me, sang one of my favorite songs. I still have a voice, which scares me. And I got a bunch of pictures of Ringo on my cell phone, but I can't upload them. Ringo sang "Liverpool 8" and "Photograph" and I'm surprised I didn't cry. Also, he got into "Boys", "Yellow Submarine", "I Wanna Be Your Man" and "With A Little Help From My Friends." And then, for the first time ever on tour, he sang "Oh My My." And then the screaming, screaming, singing, solos, poking fun at a guy with a camera, and screaming... concert gear, finding a bathroom, buying a shirt, food, and crazy-loudness and a lot of other things were there.

Overall, best experiance EVER!

He let us scream for about 3 minutes straight. It was the single coolest thing ever. And remember people, "Peace and love" at 12:00 PM on July 7th.

Oh, and if you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns, just message me, and possibly FNU. She was there, too.

WOW! the concert was amazing. i dont know if i have the right adjectives to describe it, it was just, WOW.

There were a lot more younger kids than i thought there would be, like 8 year olds and stuff, which is very good, that a younger crowd likes Ringo. Also, there was the most Beatles shirts i have ever seen in one place, which is also very cool. it makes one feel very special inside, seeing the Beatles faces surrounding you and Ringos ACTUAL face in front of you.

Heatherboo,(and any one else who is going) im sure you will have a GREAT time in July, and make sure to relish every moment of it, cause now, a day after it, i can only think "what was i doing 24 hours ago? who was singing? was it a Beatles song?" and i am already hoping for an eleventh band! (that i can go see, of course.)

That's what I am most excited about, to actually see his face in person...and of course the music!

Hey freakchic, the guy from men at work is colin hay. sounds like they did the same songs there that they did at radio city tuesday night. the only thing i was suprised he didnt play was youre sixteen. my wife was waiting to hear it all night long because shes loved that song since her older brother played it at her 16th birthday party. hamish stuart is from the average white band and was paul mccartneys guitarist in the 90s. just though tid help out with some info. glad you had a blast. im gonna post my pics later tonight or tomorrow for everybody to enjoy.

His tickets are way expensive. If you want decent seats anyway. I'm still debating this. If it were Paul, there would be no debate. I can't help it.

The tickets for when he plays up in northern Nevada in Reno the most expensive ones are 90 bucks which I thought was pretty cheap for the best seats at a concert.

The seats FNU and I got were $50 each. Kinda in the back, but not too far.

FNU, find this and reply!

Whoa, you're fast. But no, but instead of blue seats like us, they were red.

The most expensive tickets for the Greek Theatre show are about $150. The cheapest are about $40. Not bad, but I KNOW we'll be about a hundred miles from the stage. Don't know if it's worth sitting there watching a dot and I'm not spending more than that cuz I said I'd be the one to buy these since I'm the nutty Ringo fan. Which was stupid of me, but there you go.

If it makes you feel any better I am going alone because I don't have anyone to go with.  I figure I will just make friends with the people next to me or they just have to put up with my crazy self HAHHAHA  ;D

I go to concerts by myself often because no one else has my taste in music or doesn't want to spend the money to go.  But I don't let that stop me from having a good time!!  Come down to California and I will take you freakchic 9  8)
