One of the Year 6 teachers of my son’s class is from Liverpool and knows of my Beatle fandom. I met her husband today at the airport as the kids were flying out for a school trip. We had a great chat. He’s 70 and remembers vividly waiting outside the Cavern to help the boys carry their gear in etc. he said it was a magical time and the whole Sixties was awesome. He joined the navy in 1966 and went all around the world and said it was unreal
