Interesting to get your thoughts nimrod,I still consider myself English though.
We are both right I suppose

Ive thought more about this ringo71......I am both English & British, being English makes me British because England is part of the country called united kingdom of great britain & northern ireland
If ever the 4 countries separate , then I will be English I suppose

Its an interesting question and Ive thought about it......I think its an individual thing, My Mothers family was Irish and My fathers ancestry is Scottish

Everyone's ancestry pre-dates the existence of countries. I always think there's something significant in that that we miss.
