1928: England in Color

KelMar:
I thought these photos were pretty cool.

"In the late 1920s and early 1930s National Geographic sent photographer Clifton R. Adams to England to record its farms, towns and cities, and its people at work and play.

Only, Adams happened to record it all in color using the Autochrome process."

Those are interesting, Kelley. The woman on the left in Picture No.5 made me want to spray the screen with holy water, though.  ha2ha  It's probably just the angle, but the look in her eyes gives me the creeps!

Thanks for sharing those.  :)

An awful lot of letter posting went on back in the day

There's some lovely shots.  Always nice to be reminded the world had colour pre-1960. Thanks Kelley.

Old photos like that fascinate me.  Thanks for posting that Kelley.

I'm so glad you guys enjoyed these. I didn't notice that lady at first Kathy; I was too busy noticing that her companion's hair looks my daughter's and also Jane Asher's. But you're right...eww!
