KARMA’S a b****!

That reminds me of a t-shirt I saw once: "Dear Karma, I Have a List of People You've Missed."   ;D

“If you are depressed, you are living in the past.
If you are anxious, you are living in the future.
If you are at peace, you are living in the present.”

"Holding onto resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die."

I Googled this and noted that it has been attributed to dozens of individuals (e.g., Buddha, Nelson Mandela, AA, etc.)

I like that. Speaking of quote attributing, I just saw something really nice on Facebook, attributed to Mother Teresa. I looked it up on quote investigator.com and it turns out it was a college kid in 1968 who wrote it! That bugs me but people don't seem to like it if you point that sort of thing out. LOL

I live anywhere, all the time, between the mid-50s and the mid-60s.
I'm not depressed. Really, not even slightly.

Found myself in London last month, a whole load of people there, presumably all living 'in the present', looked profoundly depressed.

That geezer with the funny name was talking b---- cks!

Kelley, I somehow missed your post. What was the quote, if you don't mind sharing it? (And if you'd prefer not to, I certainly understand.)

Another one I like is the (probably overused) "There are three types of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics." I've seen that one attributed to everyone from Mark Twain to Benjamin Disraeli. I can't seem to pin down a definitive source. I should try investigator.com!

I just saw this and I'll be darned if I can remember the quote now. But it was really good; trust me!

Lotta people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well. When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

The advantage of a bad memory is that one enjoys several times the same good things for the first time.

I didn't realize it was Elie who said that. I was so very sad to learn of his passing. What an amazing individual he was. RIP.
