Though never considered a "Fifth Beatle," Nicky Hopkins was one of Great Britain's best-known session players particularly through his work with the Rolling Stones and after playing electric piano on The Beatles' Revolution...

This lucky crowd in Charlotte, North Carolina on Mother's Day 1984 got to see Mr. Hopkins perform with The Spongetones.  He was in town promoting the L. Ron Hubbard movie Battlefield Earth, whose soundtrack he appeared on.  The show was entirely unrehearsed...

Nicky Hopkins' frail health led him to concentrate on working as a session musician instead of joining bands.  Sadly, Nicky Hopkins passed away on 6 September 1994 at the age of 50 due to complications resulting from intestinal surgery presumably related to his lifelong battle with Crohn's Disease.

That's lovely to listen to. Micks voice never comes in to spoil it.  Quite neat bass work by Bill too.

I always credited the lyrics for the effect this song has on me but now I see that's not all of it.

Here in France She's A Rainbow is used by an insurance company. Watch this ad though to the end to hear the Stones :

Despite this, I still love the song. I can listen to it every day and it still sounds great.

Okay, so now Kev put on an America album to negate that song in her head.  She'll be happy once again.

Oh! Yoko isn't such a bad song, though.  It's quite good, in fact.  That honky-tonk piano of Nicky Hopkins makes the song!  One needs to just forget the subject matter.  ;)

Yes, it is, musically. The lyrics annoy me so I added an extra verse. It’s pretty disgusting but it expresses my feelings about the subject matter quite well.
