Fab Faux will return to the Michigan Theater to play entire 'Sgt. Pepper' album

The Fab Faux—the don't-call-them-a-tribute-band band that recreates the music of the Beatles in concert settings—will play the Michigan Theater on April 21 in a show featuring the entire "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album, concert promoter LiveNation has announced. The band won over Ann Arbor fans last March, when it performed the Beatles' "Abbey Road" at the Michigan.Although Beatles tribute bands are a fairly common phenomenon, the Fab Faux set themselves apart in a couple ways: First, they don't dress like the Beatles and make no pretense of "playing" the original musicians. And second, they play a lot of the Beatles' later, much more complex music—so complex that the Beatles themselves didn't attempt to perform it on stage.
