I found a site who says their excist a beatle rocording from 1976. It says they wanted to preduced a new album. Who knows more about this fact?
see: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/3325521.stm

I think it's untrue... unforunately.
Anyway, if these tapes did exist, they surely would have used one of those tracks to work on for the Anthology project, rather than Lennon demo tape with very poor sound quality.

At http://www.momentsintime.com/Beatles%20Reunion.htm you can see the tape. But Apple corps says this is a rhumor and that's not true. To believe or not to believe, that the question. It would like to believe it but it's strange it isn't known.

Hmmm - who in their right minds would bid for a blank tape?!! :)

A tape means nothing.
It isn't true.
In May of 1979 Paul, George and Ringo came closest by jamming at Eric Clapton's wedding reception.
No one has ever brought forth a record of that, unfortunately.

Likely it didnt happen, but I dont trust Apple because they have been deceptive in the past. Remember when Neil Aspinal and others close to the Beatles said reports of the Threetles reuniting in 1994 was false. Now here we have the anthology project with two new Beatles songs.

you have to admit the end has a point, but still that site makes you think.....
