The Beatles A-Z
« on: December 10, 2010, 03:57:45 AM »

Does anyone listen to The Beatles' songs from A-Z ? I really enjoy listening to them like that. Back in 1995, a radio station here played them A-Z one weekend and gave away copies of Anthology 1 (I won one!) After that, I made cassette tapes of A-Z, and later burned CD's. One thing I don't do is split the Abbey Road medleys. (An example is that Mean Mr. Mustard, Polythene Pam, and She Came In Through The Bathroom Window stay together. I have those under M.)

If you'd want to listen to every song that a band ever recorded, I think it would be a lot more interesting to put the songs in chronological order and see how the band progressed through the years.

Two interesting things about A-Z. ''I Will'' and ''Julia'' are back to back, just like on ''The White Album''. And there is only one J and one K. "Julia" and ''Kansas City".

Not if you add the songs from the BBC album.

Sorry it took so long but I don't include the BBC tracks.

Back in the days before CD's, I did that with cassette tapes. It was interesting to hear. Now I have two playlists on my iPod for the Beatles. Fast numbers for the morning drive and ballads for the ride home. Nothing gets me going for the morning drive like "Slow Down" (which I often have to do to avoid a speeding ticket).
