You get 5 bonus points if you answer all the questions correctly.

Clearly my bribe money was not high enough. *wrestles DaveRam and Kevin for the wooden spoon in a truly desperate move*

"What irks me most with these things is that some people posting on things like 'Song Facts Game', and 'Name Game', don't bother to take part in something a bit more informative and worthwhile."

They're just fun things to do. Yes they can be a little irritating after a while when you get to many of the same basic thing but those kind of games are quick and don't take alot of time. I "play" them sometimes when I'm bored or no one is replying.
I have nothing against what you're saying or trying to pick a fight but they're just fun in times when there's nothing else to do. But I do appreciate you starting these quizes because they do  require some kind of brain function rather than your opinion.

However, the thought of having to do homework (scour the web, etc.) to get the answers just gives me the Willies.

I assume you get an odd number of points if you get a question half right, but I'll let Paul answer that.

I expect to lose hideously. But... the loser gets the wooden spoon. So if I lose, I win!

Go ahead. Count me clever.

If you're refering to your score, I gave you 5 points for only getting half of the final question correct. And you get an extra 5 points if you answer every question correctly.

A few more people have entered. Thanks. Here's the current standings:

Bobber  45
Geoff   45
Harry Lime   45
The End   45
Zipp   45
Harihead   38
Bungalow Bill   36
Beatlemaniac64  36
Maccalennon  33
Fendertele   32
DaveRam   18
Kevin   10
Pauliebear   4

You may PM me any corrections to your answers as long as I receive them before the closing time of that particular round. Round 1 finishes next Sunday 23 March at 12 noon GMT. Just send the corrected answer(s) not the whole thing.

So I was mistaken -- the answers aren't due on the same Sunday they're posted. I didn't see anywhere in your first post that we had a whole week. My mistake!

I am getting a couple of different answers in for the question:

And In The End
The last recording session for 'Let It Be' by members of The Beatles took place on 4 January 1970. Name the song, and the Beatle that was not in attendence. 2 points for each.

The clue to the correct answer is in the question. 'Members' of The Beatles, and '4 January'.

Don't forget that the closing date for entries for Mastermind 1 is this Sunday 23 March at 12 noon GMT. Mastermind 3 will start at the same time, and continue for 2 weeks. Mastermind 2 will finish on Sunday 30 March at 12 noon GMT.

Round 2 will remain open for a few more hours, just in case anybody else wants to enter.

The quiz will continue this Sunday. I've been sick with flu for most of the week, so I haven't really felt like putting it together. I'll be giving the results for rounds 2 & 3, and the standings, then round 4 starts.

Btw, only two people - Zipp, and Geoff - have the correct answer for the picture round.
