It's not a cover,it's not even a band. The most moving rendition of a Beatles song that I've ever seen was by a young East German student shortly after the Berlin wall came down. It was on Nightline. He did an accoustic guitar version of Eight Days a Week and his singing brought me to tears. The whole situation was very emotional. He said Beatles music was one of the things that got smuggled into East Germany, the communists banned it,but everybody got a hold of it anyway. He was so happy that he could now openly buy their records and sing their songs. He said The Beatles were one of the great symbols of freedom. He sang that song with pure joy. I've loved Eight Days a Week-any version of it-ever since.
