So how about the Beastie Boys? Anyone think they're any good? They've been around for a long time haven't they?

The new album was a pretty good listen, stronger than their last one anyway. Kind of annoying that a lot of the tracks sound identical to one another, but it's still pretty entertaining. Worth the six year wait? Not really, but it ain't bad at least.

The Beastie Boys are one of the most overrated acts of the 80's just like U2 & Madonna while my only favorite song by them is You Got A Fight For Your Right To Party.

Ha Ha! The Girls' Song has NOTHING to do with the Beastie Boys....just some really crappy track that made it to radio. They're a rap/rock group, which that song obviously isn't even close to being....the first album bites anyway, but if you check out Paul's Boutique, you may dig the grooves.

The Beasties have now lasted 2 decades. I particularly like the fact that they learned instruments after the phenomenal success of their first album and played live. Also their video's (Especially Sabotage) directed by Spike Jones are very entertaining. The brainchild of Rick Rubin I believe. (Defjam records).

i like the beastie boys. i agree with you though that Madonna is horrible.

I guess U2's earlier stuff wasn't bad, but I don't like their current directin.
