Thanks for the post! Any songs you're surprised didn't make the list?
Yes. Here's an alphabetical list of songs I am surprised didn't make the top 250. Some I am not as surprised by, but others I am very surprised didn't make the List ("No More Lonely Nights" and "Real Love" stick out for me)
"Ain't She Sweet" a hit
"Any Road" (especially since "Stuck Inside a Cloud" made the list)
"Arrow Through Me"
"Bangladesh" (a hit)
"Beware of Darkness"
"Blow Away" (or anything from the George Harrison album, for that matter) (a hit)
"Borrowed Time" (a hit)
"C Moon" (although "Hi Hi Hi" was the hit in the US, this is still so catchy and radio friendly)
"Cheer Down"
"Cold Turkey" (a hit)
"Dark Horse" (a hit)
"Ding Dong, Ding Dong" (especially since John and Paul's holiday songs fared so well)
anything from Ringo's I Wanna Be Santa Claus album (same reason as above)
"Getting Closer" (a hit)
"Give Ireland Back to the Irish" (although it's not as applicable today)
"Grow Old with Me"
"Here Today" (for its sentimentality)
"Hope of Deliverance"
"I'm Stepping Out" (a hit)
"Isn't It a Pity" (double A-side #1)
"Love" (a classic...would have expected cult-like following)
"Mother" (same as above)
"Mull of Kintyre" (although not a hit in the US, I would have expected this to still get some airplay)
"My Brave Face" (or anything from Flowers in the Dirt--"This One," "Figure of Eight," "Put It There")
"Never Without You" (Ringo's tribute to George, featuring Eric Clapton)
"No More Lonely Nights" a top ten hit
"Only You" (Ringo) a top ten hit
"Press" a hit
"Real Love" a top ten hit
"So Bad" a hit
"Spies Like Us" a top ten hit
"This Is Love" (a minor hit)
"This Song" (a hit)
"Vanilla Sky" would have expected this to be a hit.
"Wah-Wah"
"Working Class Hero" (classic Lennon)
"You" (George) a hit
"Young Boy"
