New AUDIOSLAVE Video Inspired By BEATLES' 'Let It Be' - Apr. 8, 2005

Launch Radio Networks is reporting that AUDIOSLAVE have filmed the video for "Be Yourself", the first single from their new album, "Out of Exile". The clip was filmed in an old hotel in downtown Los Angeles, and frontman Chris Cornell told Launch the group modeled the concept after THE BEATLES' film "Let It Be". "The idea really was coming from 'Let It Be', just the way the footage looked to me," he said. "If you watch 'Let It Be', the look of the film makes the band look like it's an important happening. I just wanted to look important, like things looked when I was a child."

The "Be Yourself" video will arrive later this month.

AUDIOSLAVE's second album, "Out of Exile", is due out on May 24. It's the follow-up to the group's self-titled, double-platinum 2002 debut.

You're kidding, right? Have you even heard their music? Sure it's better than rap and anything else out now, but it still isn't the great. At least in my opinion.

RATM and Soundgarden are two of the best bands of the 90's.

audioslave is disappointing. how can a group with so much talent release mediocre work.

They're not dissapointing, they're one of the few current bands that play good rock and put on a good show.
Cornell's talent as a songwriter remains intact; Like a Stone, I am the Highway, The last remaining light and a few other songs are the proof of his talent.
Chris Cornell can still create the lyrical enviroments that he did so well in the Soundgarden  era and his solo career.
The problem is, people tend to compare Audioslave with either Soundgarden or RATM and they're all completely different bands.

that's their 'commercial hit-song', they have a ton of other good songs like Outshined, Flower, Hands all Over, The Day I Tried to Live, Let Me Drown, My Wave,Rustycage, etc.

I still love RATM (only their first 2 albums though) and I thought Soundgarden was OK, but I really don't like Audioslave.
