Yellow Submarine vs. Octopus's Garden.
« on: June 21, 2005, 09:27:22 PM »

I go with Yellow Submarine.

Has anyone noticed how the Octopus sounds alot like God, and his garden seems like heaven?

I mean, the Octopus knows where they've been, and he lets them into his garden, a safe and happy place where everyone's dancing and care-free.

Maybe I'm reading too far into it...

Actually, that's a nice concept of Octopus' Garden. Now my biggest question about it is what was the idea about comparing God to an Octopus?

Besides that, it's a nice concept...

But I still prefer Yellow Submarine. Catchier, and still sounds pretty neat.

Octopus' Garden was written by Ringo.

'Nuff said.

Well, they were on mind-addling drugs, so that probably made a difference.

I don't think that was the meaning of the song anyway. The Beatles don't come off as the most Christian type of people.

Maybe it was God because, since the octopus has got many arms it can control anything... Hehe that didn't make any sense.

Octopus's Garden is one of my favourite songs ever. I learned the solo about a week ago :) I love it!
