I always have mixed emotions about Can't Buy Me Love. I never regarded it very high, but everytime I hear it I sing along. I can imagine that the song give Paul some confidence, although I think he didn't produce very much in 1964 compared to John. But overall, CBML is a good song imho. Good flipside too (You Can't Do That).

Yes this was actually a rare vinyl single I had as a kid. It's got foot tap appeal to the max and Macca showing off that range..a no, no, no...noooooo and that coarseness "I dont care too....."
Another nice final resolved chord aswell. Nice sentiment. Tidy piece.

This is one of my favorite early songs. It's got a great rhythm and I especially love it in the scene in AHDN

I'm fairly neutral about it. Not a great song, but good enough with weak, but witty and catchy lyrics. Teenybopper girls ate it up.

This is the song that got me into the Beatles, and although I don't list it as one of my favourites, it's one of those songs that makes me proud to be a Beatles fan. Catchy, good lyrics, nice clean production. Also really fun to play when jamming. All in all I'd say it's a really good song.

I first heard the song watching A Hard Day's Night and liked it a lot.  I always think of their earlier Money whenever I hear it and smile.

I'm exactly the same. Even for 64 it sounds retro. But the damn thing works. Again, starting with the chorus is a neat trick.
