Liverpool’s Neptune theatre renamed in honour of Beatles manager Brian Epstein (GALLERY)

LIVERPOOL’S Neptune theatre is set to be officially relaunched tomorrow, renamed after former Beatles manager Brian Epstein.
Tonight, workmen were putting the finishing touches to the interior of the building, which has been left in a state of decay since it closed in 2005.
It was due to be refurbished then, but remained untouched after a row between the council and its landlord.
The £1m refurb sees new mahogany doors and restored crystal chandeliers inside.
Today, council leader Cllr Joe Anderson said he was thrilled Mr Epstein’s family had agreed to let the theatre bear the Beatles’ manager’s name.
Epstein worked there when it housed Crane’s music shop.
Cllr Anderson said: “I’m delighted Brian’s family accepted our request to rename this venue The Epstein Theatre.
