I like Shawn Colvin's new cover of "I'll Be Back".

I know it isn't exactly a Beatles Song, but I know that Joe Cocker did a cover of Maybe I'm Amazed on his new album that has recently come out. I hated it though. I guess I don't like his voice.

Within You Without You by Sonic Youth is good.

Anyone heard Tori Amos' version of "Happiness Is A Warm Gun"?

Micheal Jackson did a version of Come Together also, not as bad as you think, his voice went along well with it and he hired some damn good guitarist and bassist so it sounds better good.

Defintely worth a check.

a great cover of Drive My Car was done by an unknown band : Stray Dog.
Their 1st album is still one of the best albums ever made. Anyway...they do a great version of Drive My Car. If you can find it..it's well worth the effort.

Aerosmith is the greatest Beatles covers band of all time with great remakes of Come Together, I'm Down & Helter Skelter which sound like originals which is what it's all about as well as being a great rock & roll band in their own right.

;Di agree 100%, i even like their come together better than the beatles version. *ducks*

Sun..it's simply called Stray Dog.    Now there's a reissue with a bunch of live stuff that's probably the one for sale. Well worth it.

I like Sheryl Crowe's version on Mother Nature's Son. It's off the I Am Sam soundtrack.

Actually, Annie Lennox is pretty good so I wouldn't be surprised if her cover was good too.

The Sgt Peppers (BeeGee's movie) fiasco had tons of Beatle covers by popular artists Alice Cooper did "Because" previously mentioned Aerosmith "Come Together"  Look for the discography from the movie! The movie stunk but the songs rocked I think Billy Preston did a couple in the movie also!! I think was it Sara Maglauchlan did Blackbird! John Lennon said Ann Murrays version of his song was his favorite version!

It's not a cover,it's not even a band. The most moving rendition of a Beatles song that I've ever seen was by a young East German student shortly after the Berlin wall came down. It was on Nightline. He did an accoustic guitar version of Eight Days a Week and his singing brought me to tears. The whole situation was very emotional. He said Beatles music was one of the things that got smuggled into East Germany, the communists banned it,but everybody got a hold of it anyway. He was so happy that he could now openly buy their records and sing their songs. He said The Beatles were one of the great symbols of freedom. He sang that song with pure joy. I've loved Eight Days a Week-any version of it-ever since.
