Topic: I need help (Read 3959 times)

Ok, granted I havent done a whole lot of homework on this one yet, but is it listed anywhere as to who played the drums on what tracks for 'All Things Must Pass'? I know Jim Gordon, Alan White, Ringo (Ginger Baker did a jam too) were the drummers, but I cant find where its broke down as to who drummed on which song. Any help would be appreciated and i'll start my research now also. Thanks.

On my original LP it says:

The sleeve notes for the re-released version shed no more light unfortunately, however in George's foreword in the CD booklet he does have this to say:

[size=16][face=Times]
"It goes without saying that it has always been my pleasure to have my old friend Ringo playing drums, and although he probably can't remember, he did play on a good fifty or sixty percent of the album..."[/face][/size]

Yeah, its a tough find. I'm even trying to break the album down song by song to see if I could find more information that way, but i've failed so far. I'm going to keep trying, but it may not be out there. Thanks for the help Al.

Truthfully, I dont think the answers exist unless one of the players or producers could shed some light.

I doubt the players would remember, and I believe the producer is currently unavailable for comment!!

There were some songs in which several musicians played live together ... more that one drummer, pianist and guitarist or blass players ... it's not easy to tell who did what, I'm afraid! :-/

I think it might be futile at this point, but I really do appreciate everybodys involvement. I'm going to search for a little while longer and then probably throw in the towel.

So Ringo did indeed play on nearly half of it. I wonder where this guy got his information from though, as on the title song it says 'Ringo Starr OR Jim Gordon'. Surly an official source - a tape box, for instance - would have it written down which one it was?
