Sparks
« on: December 04, 2013, 02:36:42 PM »

I found this album in a Used record store in 1976 (or so) for a buck! The beauty in those days is you could buy one for a buck and trade it later for 50 cents!
The cover says it all, this album is a plane crash! Funny, interesting with a lot of styles. When I played it at a "prime time" for the first time all my friends said "What the heck is that?". It has some real gems, comedy and a touch of irreverence.
Enjoy!

Two of my friends are brothers named Harry (the Blue's Dink) and his younger brother Joe! We always got an extra laugh when this song came on. Very unique band!

When I saw the thread title, I thought you were referring to the instrumental Who song from "Tommy."  :)

This looks interesting, Dave; I'll have to give it a listen.

Ron and Russell Mael founded Sparks over 40 years ago.  Ron, the keyboardist, wrote most of their stuff.
