Paul Won't Perform In China!

Those other Britlanders among us should check out BBC Ceefax TV screen information service (just so our other friends can know what we're talking about here I defined it) and find the story that Macca refuses to perform his music in China, after he saw footage of how cruelly animals were treated in the Chinese fur trade. This involved animals being beating by grinning fur trade workers, and (for some reason) cats in bags being thrown into boiling water from a double decker bus!!!  >:(

He's too old to change his principles, tho he was Looking for Changes (Off The Ground - 1993)... and he's got enough money too.

What the BBC report also said was that the Chinese government blamed the west for demanding fur products!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'm driven more by bad taste than cynicism. Even I can't get cynical about animal abuse. But the bad jokes - I can't help myself. Too much National Lampoon when I was younger.

I'm not advocating animal abuse or anything, and if someone wants to be a veggie, more power to them. I just really hate PETA.

Yes, I know jaded hippy stuff is bad taste, and now I've made the point about charity and humanity here, I'm finishing it now. You all know what I think, so that's it. Maybe it was irritating a few of you.

Even though I think he's an extreme animal rights activist of the worst kind because he's a vegetarian I think Paul's right since this is bad.

Ok. But, the ideals are really just that. You know, if I could be some super-talented songwriting rocker (I defy any of you to say you haven't daydreamed of that in your life!), I would love to bring back the peace and love ideals into music. And the image, to some extent.

But, if I go on about it too much, it'll just get so tedious for you guys. I'll water it down just a bit from now on.
